Really ? How interesting that not only does the link that you (whoever "you" are) provided above lead to nothing associated with dave at all, but it's also interesting that you're identifying yourself as slackjaw@lowtechespresso . . . Kinda makes you wonder a bit about the lengths some folks go to, doesn't it? You're one sick puppy . . .
How sad that instead of hanging ONE (or six) links promoting himself, his ego groups or old stuff he's selling, now it is all about negative B.S. -- displaying nothing but anger, petty jealousy, and resentment at another's success.

Alan when I saw Slackjaws post, it set off a couple of alarm bells. A new poster wants people to click on a link? yea right. What viruses or cookies are buried therein? No one will dare click on this. Well you did, which I think was very brave. This is devotion, beyond the call of duty. I hope when Lockjaw arrives, he's big enough to thank you for it. At least we now know the link was harmless.

Actually, it wasn't at all brave and had nothing to do with devotion. It was really pretty foolish. I guess since I was sure then (as I still am) that Tex was the actual poster (¹), I'd carelessly dismissed the possibility of Tex setting booby-traps in his links. But, as Tex does appear to have been going off the deep end lately, it certainly is a possibility I shouldn't have ignored. In the future I certainly won't be as trusting. Thanks for the reminder. :-)
(¹) "Tex" has done this in the past --- specifically on an 11/25 post of his which, puzzlingly enough, in a reply to dave, combined his own posting name of "Tex" with a reported email address belonging to dave (davebo...@gmail.com). Go figure . . .

Anyone else think our boy Tex has a substance abuse problem? All the symptoms are presented here.
How 'bout it, Tex? How many of those bizarre posts follow heavy hits on the tequila bottle?

RJ: he, tex/drek/harmone/slackjaw, has a stated preference for "20 YO Scotch"
But geez, I guess it could have been tequila . . . .
Actually davey, it's more properly referred to as single-malt whiskey. But then, knowledge has never been one of your short comings, right? -- Enjoy! Robert (Tex) Harmon

Hi Tex, how's it going? If I recall, that Lockjaw character was boasting that he'd run you out of alt.coffee. Yet you are here and lockjaw is a gonner. Surely you remember him? I but you're missing him, I know I am, here's a reminder :-

Hi Blained1 'newbie' my conversation is with Tex a long established member of alt.coffee - note my opening words "Hi Tex, hows it going". If you were slackjaw, you may accuse me of hijacking the thread, you may have a point, but you are not slackjaw ....... are you? Meanwhile stop stalking me, smell the coffee, get a life. love Mary to email me remove <socks>

Your only input here is to comment on others OT remarks. What the hell for?

WHEN and IF you EVER have anything to say on this ng other than commenting on this asinine back and forth, I'll be pleased to leave those posts alone, "mary"

Of course, each news service agency has their own guidelines for what they consider "abuse", and it's quite possible that (as mentioned above) an intentional and malicious parody of another poster's identity and email address would be considered abusive (and therefore constitute a REASON FOR COMPLAINT) by sonic-news.com.
> Obviously, the lockjaw complaints were valid, else > google would have ignored them.
Perhaps I've overlooked something, but it's not at all obvious to me that google took any action whatsoever based on "lockjaw complaints". What do you suppose would have been the nature of those "complaints"?
[header to message purporting to be from "Slackjaw slack...@lowtechespresso.invalid" snipped}
> There isn't a single attribute to that header that > would give any reasonable person the slightest reason > to believe that's Tex.
I don't believe I'd ever suggested that the header itself was evidence of Tex's handiwork. As I'd mentioned earlier, it was "more than likely". Who else would go to the trouble of opening up a sonic-news account which just happens to be a parody of the identity and email address of a poster with whom "Tex" appears to have a running battle --- and particularly in light of the indisputable fact that "Tex" had once before (rather clumsily, to be sure, as he used his own giganews account on 11/25) represented his email address as one actually belonging to dave? Just asking.

So what, Tex isn't complaining newbie. If you're concerned about asinine OT comments, where were you when Lockjaw and Daveb was splashing them around ac. Here some examples, if you want more, I'll supply them. Meanwhile stop whinging and dry your tears -
