Yep, Darwin probably got it right. You can sort of assume a theory
is based in reality when it's boring. We don't like facts, figures
and logic; we want legend, lore and magic.

So, the magical theory of creation... even more fantastic than the
one you learned about in Sunday School. This one has everything.
It's about a race of gods called the Anunnaki that created man in
their own image... except they created a sort of dumbed down version
to use as workers. Slaves. And there's a conspiracy side to this
too. There was this movie in production about 5 or 6 years ago and
it was being promoted on the web. It was called, 1Anunnaki. But then
it vanished. Completely. All links to the "Official" website and any
sign of the producer, Jon Gress, have been erased from everywhere.

Well, I don't know, we love these conspiracy things but, what
happened? The movie sounded to me like a great idea. Sort of a
Sci-Fi thing, based in history. The history of the ancient
Sumerians. No big secret there and anyone can read the translations
from many sources. Did the guy just run out of money? That sounds
like the most likely thing that happened... but this vanishing act
is what keeps this story going. There are hundreds of YouTube videos
on the subject and they are all over the map. Here's an interview
with Jon Gress that, as far as I can tell, was from around 2007. Not
a peep from him since.

Tons of other videos in the sidebar of related stuff there.

Anyway, not as boring as the theory of evolution. Except maybe if
you actually look at the cover of Darwin's book. The subtitle, right
there on the front of that book under "On the Origin of Species" and
I'm not making this up dammit... it says "or the" and then, in all
uppercase, "PRESERVATION OF FAVOURED RACES IN THE STRUGGLE FOR LIFE"

Do you have a copy of that book handy? Of course you don't. No one
does. But, trust me, that's what it says. LOL

I only made it half way through that interview. That's all I could take.
However, I did check the Gress guy out and he's been working on other
projects according to the IMDB.

You're correct ... I do not have a copy of Darwin's book. I'll just have
to take your word for what it says on the cover. I believe you! (^_~)
[g] Loved your story though.

I have seen documentaries about strange carvings (huge ones!) in the
Earth that are credited to aliens dating from way, way back (forgot how
long). Interesting theories ... but like so many other theories ... hard
to take seriously.

I think the part about the gods creating a slave race comes from
that guy that started that Planet X theory; Zecharia Sitchin.

Nice to know you are a bit of a skeptic. I find this stuff very
entertaining but I think they are all full of shit.

Never heard of that person. We're all slaves to something-or-other ...
even street people.

Yeah ... I agree ... they are full of it. [g]

And then again; I'm a sucker for that stuff. I always wonder if
there could be anything to it. You never know.

Okay ... I got it ... you can't decide. It may be intriguing to think
about, but I still don't believe it.
