Anybody have a confidential contact at the Chinatown Pain Relief Clinic in
Hawaii?
Rumor has it that they have admitted scrawny black dude with a halo on his
head for a Herbal Okra Manipulation Therapy session.
Anyone have Ace High's phone number?

This was the post that started all this ruckus. It is
unfortunate that several people tried to do the manipulations without
getting proper professional or at least some knowledgable help. It was
apparant that several unfortunate souls were walking around with the Okra
intact for a few days and became very irritated about the situation. I
posted a second posts give the proper methods for removal. Anyway, here is
the orginal post.
---
About the okra. I really should be posting this in the Pineapple
Paradise newsgroup because this veggie was developed by old time Kahunas
here for medicinal purposes. It actually has healing powers that exceed
those of the famous Tahitian Noni fruit. Several web sites are
dedicated to the discussion of NONI but none that I know of about the
okra.
Yes the size of it does get your attention, and it doesn't have the
irritating fuzz on it like regular okra. Steamed and smashed into a
creamy state, it is a soothing balm with a sunscreen protection factor
of almost 100. It has the healing power of aloe when put on burns and
cuts and insect bites.
And, as advertised, it is a fabulous weight gaining food supplement
because of the 90% vegetable fat content.
Now, let's talk about back pain. I have disintegrating disc disease and
in earlier years had surgery about twice yearly. I gave that up after
consulting with some pain management consultants and more or less
learned to live with it. After moving to Hawaii and getting into the
herbal remedies developed by
Kajunas and Chinese Herbalists, I have
been pain free at least 90% of the time for the past few years. Most
of this relief is derived from the Hawaiian Herbal Okra. The mature
veggie is around 14 to 16 inches long and about 3 to 3 and half inches
thick. The old Kahunas method of using it for back pain relief was to
lubricate it and insert it rectally. The patient lies in a fetal
position during the process. The probe is inserted with a slight
pressure toward the spine. With a little manipulation, the exact
location of the inflammed or herniated disc can be assertained and with
a very gentle massaging motion, the pressure from the probe tends to
move the tissue that is extended against the sciatic nerve into a
position that does not irritate the nerve. With a little more gentle
manipulation, the tissue is actually softened to the point that normal
body fluids tend to dissolve it. Of course, this is not a miracle
cure. It takes several series of the manipulations to completely remove
the pulp extruded from the herniated disc. My first series of
treatments were done three times a week for six weeks. Of course the
modern day Practitioners encase the okra in a condom and lubricate it
with aloe jell. It is actually a very pleasant experience. I have not
had any pain now for six months, but I go in for a preventative
treatment once every week. The only adverse affect I have had from this
(and it is a known problem) is that the treatment tends to weaken the
anal sphincter, thereby eliminating the normal dual function of the
sphincter of passing bowel gases without expelling feces. That problem
just has to be lived with. Don't take a chance, if you feel like you
need to pass gas, don't trust it. Go sit on the pot.
If you would like anymore information on this subject, follow the
directions in the original post. Email me your snail mail address and I
will email the order form to you. However you might want to print this
post and take it to your own Pain Management Professional and get his or
her opinion before you try it. You really should get him or a really
good friend you trust to do the procedure if you decide to try it.
============================
The original post regarding the Herbal Hawaiian Okra was in response to a
request from a club member for a weight gain diet. The Herbal Okra, being
90% vegetable fat and 10% fiber is an excellent weight gain medium. It can
be used in soups, salads, or stuffed with cheese or seafood. It is a
versatile dietary suppplement because its size makes it so easy to create
new and delicious menu items.
The second post revealing the Kahunas use of the Hawaiian Herbal Okra as a
back pain remedy was taken by several readers as being a joke. But actually
it has now become one of the most preferred alternative health care methods
of controlling back pain. Like I said though, it should be administered by
a professional pain specialists. Do not try to do the manipulations by
yourself.

<<Sounds borderline S&M. >>
Nahhh, nothing like that. Mr. Thompson and his wife would come over and
pick the rows of okra. When they got through they would take a big stick and
beat the plant to get most of the leaves off. Claimed the extra sunlight
made it bear more okra. I believe they were right in that the plants would
be loaded down with new blooms in a day or two.
One thing they taught me was that okra will never bear below a leaf that has
already borne fruit. The new fruits are always above the last cutting.
That is the reason one sees okra stalks 10 and 12 feet high.
I told 'em that I lived too close to the VA Psychiatric Hospital to be seen
beating Hell out of any okra plants and chose to just quietly cut the leaf
off at the stalk while I was harvesting the pods.
One year I had red, white, green and blue rows of okra. One row of each
color.
