PREAMBLE

If I speak with AUTHORITY it is only because I am AUTHOR.

The following is an act of creation by Homer Wilson Smith who is
fully responsible and accountable for its contents. He acknowledges the
help of many people and lives in this creation.

This document is in no way meant to imply that the views expressed

be part of this list.

I wrote it, I posted it, it is an expression of ME.

If it is also an expression of you, that's fine.

If it is not also an expression of you, in all or in part, that is

CLEARING TECHNOLOGY

Clearing Technology is a coalescence of the methods, codes,
practices and techniques used by Clearing Practitioners around the
world.

Clearing Technology is a growing collection of experimental and
established therapeutic techniques designed to help people locate,
contact, confront, relive (revivify) and release otherwise hidden
moments of suppressed anguish, pain, anger, fear, sorrow and apathy
resulting from loss, death, departure, reversal and other trauma in
their lives, with the resulting healing of their body, heart, mind and
soul from self imposed psychotraumatic conditions created by the being
to deal with the trauma.

It is a collection of highly tested and testable practical
techniques by which a person can improve their own life in their own
estimation, by handling in a permanent fashion, self imposed barriers of
body, heart, mind and soul.

Clearing is a Technology in the sense of a body of techniques.

Technology 2.) the application of knowledge for practical ends, as
in a particular field, e.g. educational Technology. (From Greek,
technologia, systematic treatment.)

Technique 2.) the body of specialized procedures and methods used
in any specific field of endeavor, 3.) technical skill; the ability to
apply procedures or methods so as to effect a desired result. (From
Greek, techne, art or craft.)

Both definitions are taken from The Random House College
Dictionary, Copyright 1975.

Clearing Technology is a quickly growing subject of great richness
and diversity. By forming this group we wish to aid in the survival of
those who would see Clearing Technology OF ANY KIND grow and expand into
a respectable subject, freely available and of benefit to all on a world
wide basis, independent of race, creed, color, religion, national origin
or sexual preference.

We also wish the subject to be openly available to investigation by
anyone interested in doing so.

There is much discussion on alt.clearing.technology as to whether
Clearing Technology is a science, a religion, or a science of religion.

Because Clearing Technology deals with the repair of the human
body, heart, mind and soul from psychic influences it is classified as a
religion. However its methods are those of science, so it is also a
science.

Although the matter is open to debate, the aims of Clearing
Technology are clearly Religious in nature, and its methods, being based
on observation, hypothesis and experiment, are clearly Scientific in
nature.

Clearing Technology is a Scientific approach to Religion, as best
it can be, given the nature of the subject under study.

In any case Clearing Technology is certainly a BODY OF TECHNIQUE
whose application to oneself gives rise to long term desirable end
results in one's self, in one's own estimation.

One more point, the people who come into Clearing Technology almost
always HAVE a religion firmly in place, even if it is the religion of no
religion. These people are not looking for a new religion, and they are
certainly not interested in being forced to change their religion or
HAVE a religion. Most of them also consider that it would be improper
or heretical to follow two religions at once. Thus, since Clearing Tech
is of great benefit to all people regardless of what religious beliefs
they hold, it is imperative that Clearing Tech NOT be considered an
independent religion of its own lest it drive away ALL of its members.

However by declaring Clearing Tech a merely secular activity, it
loses the protection afforded to those things which are covered by our
Constitutional rights to freedom of religion and its practice. Thus
declared, Clearing Technology would be left open to suppressive
interference by government, medical, and psychiatric agencies. Since
Clearing Technology flies in the face of the financial and control
interests of the governmental, medical and psychiatric professions, it
has come under no small measure of attack.

Thus many Clearing Practitioners have solved this dilemma by
shielding their practice of Clearing Technology under the umbrella of
their own legally established but personal Churches, usually of whatever
denomination they were brought up in. Anyone can start a personal
Church, and might consider doing so if they intend to practice Clearing
Tech in a serious manner. You don't HAVE to take the tax breaks offered
to religions, which will keep the IRS off your back.

Thus Christians, Jews, Muslims, and anyone else can offer Clearing
Technology to their parishioners without offending them with 'other'
religions, and still maintain the protection offered in the free world
by the sanctity of the Church to Spiritual Counseling.

Clearing technology is thus a generic religion, it is the operating
manual if the GodSoul.

CLEAR-L

CLE...@lightlink.com

Copyright (C) 1993 Homer Wilson Smith

Dear People,

I have formed a new mailing list called CLEAR-L which is gatewayed
to a.c.t.

This will allow those who are not able to receive a.c.t to get
quality pro Clearing tech postings from those who wish to share their
tech and their experiences.

Anyone may sign up to CLEAR-L, even if you don't intend to post,
and even if you get a.c.t. This means that you will receive in your
mailbox postings that will also go to a.c.t.

If you post cow pies, dharma treason, hostile noise or pure
stupidity to CLEAR-L I will remove you. You will be given one warning,
if you do it again you are off the list for good.

I am the sole judge and only authority in this matter.

Bluntly, CLEAR-L is a tyranny of one, me.

After one warning, if you get bounced, you get bounced for GOOD.

You may subscribe to CLEAR-L by going to:

http://mailman.lightlink.com

You may post to CLEAR-L by sending your posting in a mail file to,

CLE...@mailman.lightlink.com

Your subscription to CLEAR-L is confidential, no one can find out
who is subscribed except myself. If you don't trust me, you are out of
luck.

You can not subscribe using an anonymous id, I wish you could, but
its not presently feasible.

Subscribing to CLEAR-L alone does not endanger your anonymity,
however posting to CLEAR-L will.

I will however be posting most of my primary postings to a.c.t via
CLEAR-L. Of course discussion will take place on a.c.t as usual.

If the noise level on a.c.t can be kept to a minimum perhaps we can
consider making it a two way gateway between CLEAR-L and a.c.t.

OK then, CP's. Not Orthodox Meatballs, but rather Clearing
Practioners.

So we have meatballs, spaceballs, and cp's. Good.

hmmm, should it be 'practitioners' ?
Anyway, CP's.

Actually I kind of like, meatballs, spaceballs, and clearings. But I
suppose cp works well enough.

As Richard Bach said in the book of the same name, we are all
Reluctant Messiahs. Thus in the broadest sense we
are all clearing practioners, at least those that desire the
goals and understandings of clearing and total responsibility.

I guess this is really the whole thing, total responsibility. And can
you not want that? Of course we all want that.

And now you say it comes with a price this total responsibility. That
when you have it you also have abilities, lets call them OT abilities.
You have memories of your past lives, to be drawn up at will.

The abilities and memories are because you have a path to this Total
Responsibility, a path called Clearing. And on this path you find and
confront past life occurrences that had moved you from total
responsibility.

Quick aside, I read and promptly forgot Reluctant Messiahs, but was
seriously enamored by Jonathan Livingston Seagull, just read Jonathan
again recently in fact. Is Reluctant Messiahs worth reading again I
ask? Maybe I just missed the book for some reason?

So you have this path to Clearing, and it is a path. And a work in
progress at times. And do you Homer, and others, graciously entertain
the non-Clearings because of that line from Desiderata "and listen to
others, even to the dull and the ignorant, they too have their story."
It would be rude to call them/us dull and ignorant, so use 'meatballs'
instead. And on this path of yours a meatball might just give you the
next Cognition if you will. The next breakthrough on the Path.

And you have dealt with the meatballs that listen carefully to what
you have to say, they listen to thoughts and ideas they have never
even considered before, ever. And then after three minutes of careful
listening they realize, "wow, I have been OT all along!"

But not for you Clearings, not you. It is no easy path you walk. It
takes honor, humor, compassion, diligence. But not intensity of
course, that is too rude a word, intensity. But rather Intention, or
lets just call it Command Intention.

And you have rules to follow and one of the rules is that there are no
rules and you have to understand this to make any progress. And maybe
you start to think that you have to be OT to go OT. But no, not even
that, for there is no easy path to Clearing.

Are we fooling ourselves though, both meatballs and clearings alike,
are we simply fooling ourselves? This is what I would introduce here.

Would a true clearing waste time on this silliness on some usenet ng?
Would a true meatball be able to converse intelligently? After all a
meatball is solely an 'eat drink and sleep' machine. While clearings
are out there or up there in grand contemplations and actions.

XXV.
Alike for those who for to-day prepare,
And those that after some to-morrow stare,
A Muezzin from the Tower of Darkness cries,
"Fools! your Reward is neither Here nor There."

This is what I would introduce, along these lines. We are not
discussing if past lives are a reality or not, one life or infinite
lives is not the discussion.

Personally, given the money, like a big lottery payoff, and I would
probably move right into 'full responsibility." I could I suppose be
accomplished at this Clearing business, and then move into 'full
responsibility'. But I have this strong suspicion that no matter what
we do we come out of that same door that we walked in.

So yes, En Garde! Let us dance and play. Maybe I will make you a
better Clearing Homer, and just as importantly, I might become a
better Meatball.

ahhhh and sigh. Those that would call themselves Natural OT's and
those that would call themselves Natural Meatballs. NO, these things
take application and understanding to achieve.

Anything and everything I typed right now is subject to revision, I'm
still reading and learning after all. Enough for the moment...

Total responsibility allows one to create ability packages
that may or may not include any particular ability.

Total responsibility does make one pan determined over
a game, as one is creator of the game.

So yes.

TR regins at all times, as does justice, you get what
you postulate. But if you postulate that you can't postulate
you get that too.

Thus the 'path' is towards recognition and orientation to
EXISTING TR on the matter which then allows you to stand
down a postulate rather than be an effect to it wondering 'who
or what is cause around here, and why is it such an asshole.'

All of clearing is spot the postulate and clear it or not
as you now desire.

Ron says in Science of Survival that below tone 4.0
a being's reaction to other's reality is something like 'Well
that may be YOUR reality...'

But at 4.0, the being is interested in other's realities,
not to change them, but because they are a work of art.

Meatball is a highly technical term as is dreamball, it conveys an
exact view of the world, made of meat or made of consciousness.

Other terms such as dull, ignorant and stupid, are also technical
terms, but are used with more contempt rightly or wrongly. Dullness,
ignorance and stupidity are all necessary to the game, or else the game
would vanish, so one has to see the aesthetic of them, in which case the
game WILL vanish :) So the contempt tends to keep the game around, which
is the aesthetic to contempt.

> And on this path of yours a meatball might just give you the
> next Cognition if you will. The next breakthrough on the Path.

Yes, interplay between meatball and dreamball creates energy and
cognition on both sides.

Dealing with dishonest meatballs though is hard, because they are
in a continuous state of treason to themselves and to you. They PRETEND
they wish to know more, but really they are terrified you might be
right.

The average prove it case that claims he just wants some help to
know if OT exists, actually wants to spot the OT's and target them for
destruction, because the prove it case know full well that OTHERS may
become OT but HE surely never will.

Thus engaging in lively dialogue with someone who has a knife
behind his back intended for your heart is not recommended unless you
enjoy wrastling with alligators.

> And you have dealt with the meatballs that listen carefully to what

That would be an ideal scene.

His realization would be right but glib, and his sense of
repsonsibility for his condition would fold up at the first mishap, "NO
way did I do this to myself, no way man."

> takes honor, humor, compassion, diligence. But not intensity of

Pitbull devotion, and fearless sense of kamikaze.

Body has to be willing to die.

> you start to think that you have to be OT to go OT. But no, not even

The main problem with recovering TR is the difference in motivations
between those that create games and those that play them.

Humans are presently in a state of playing a game they don't want
to play, and they will kill anyone who created it.

Once a being finds himself in 'this game should not have, could not
have, would not have' been created by himself or anyone else, his TR
drops to zero and now he has an ARC break with Source.

Once he considers that he IS source, the ARC break doesn't heal, it
merely moves over to HIM.

You are missing meatballs trying to become dreamballs.

It is the people in transition that stay around and 'help'.

Where in does this suspicion come from, observation or
consideration?

If consideration, is it a causal consideration or just a
description of the observation?

Who or what is cause around here?

> So yes, En Garde! Let us dance and play. Maybe I will make you a

By clearing you mean a dreamball, right?

Yes, only an OT could, would, should, become a meatball.

We could use some work on the science, tho, I think:

Meanwhile I offer the following 2 quotes from Aleister Crowley:
1) "We place no reliance
in Virgin or Pigeon
Our method is science
Our aim is religion"

2)"I slept with faith.
I found her a corpse
in the morning.
I drank and danced all night with doubt.
I found her a virgin in the morning"

Any1 got any thoughts?

Oh; I guess I whould note, finally that his journal, the equinox was
subtitled "a journal of scientific illuminism"

anything changed any point of any of the charter? Ever considered
doing an alt.clearing faq?

I got/to some extent, liked, your post. However I really don't think
that command intention and intensity are truly synonymouse terms. In
fact, 1 might argue that command intention is defined w/greatest
certainty, by its lack of anything resembling intensity.
Because the best command intention makes you wonder why you want to do
whats "ordered"; if the source of sid intention is obviously being
intence, you need not enquire.

Loved that book. Read it in the late 80's. What did you think of
Stranger in a Strange Land?

Personally it was a favorite in my youth. And then suddenly in the
org one day I remember Stranger, that this OT stuff reminds me of this
book. I mention that a few members and I talk and some of them are
saying it is "pure tech".

And then this couple there, it turns out they have an awesome
collection of sci fi novels, and that Stranger had come out with an
expanded copy. And I read that also.

And then the one of them is saying that Hubbard, Heinlein, and another
name I simply cannot remember. That the three of them travel the
whole track together and always drop the bodies at about the same
time.

Heinlein; I've herd did get some auditing.  Also LRH and Heinlein were quite good friends, as lrh notes many times in lectures.  Also see Heinleins Grumbles from the Grave.

Was the other name that of a sci-fi writer?

What did you think of Herman Hesses Siddhartha?
p.s.: Both of the books we've been discussing so far are favorites of mine.
