I just found out we've got an entire page in the NCR Handelsblad
today, the single most respected newspaper in the country. It's even
more aggressive than the other articles; Cruise is depicted as a
megalomaniacal bastard who's willing to do anything to continue being
worshipped.

Some quotes:

Quote:
The harsh, incompassionate philosophy of Scientology, the feeling of
superiority of its believers and the fact that he is worshipped within
the community as the new Messiah, cause Cruise to feel particularly at
home there. (...) He's not brainwashed or confused, but consciously
chooses this.
Quote:
The book is full of trivia about the Scientology movement - which is
illegal in Belgium and Germany. About the presence of Stalinist
detention barracks, for example.
Quote:
The actor is allegedly more powerful than most politicians. And in
contrast to politicians, he never has to answer for absurd quotes like
"psychiatry is a nazi science" or "Methadone was initially called
Adolphine, after Adolf Hitler."
Also a bit on Tom slowly turning into a David Miscavige (spelled
"Miscovige") clone, Tom willing to footbullet to save his religion at
the expense of his career, and Tom hanging out with Sarkozy. And a
completely badass picture of Andrew Morton looking like he's about to
eat someone's balls. Epic article is epic.

Yes, but what does "levensgevaarlijk" mean?

This post is actually a misrepresentation. The article is about the
claims of Andrew Morton and not the newspaper about Tom Cruise.

The post includes the link to the article: And guess what!
The quotes come from the article. As this is a "$cientology"
discussion group, it is very appropriate to give quotes that fit into
this discussion group and/or are related to the CULT. Even when Cruise
(or actor) is mentioned at least 4 times.
When you have nothing to say, you appear to have the urge to say
something, right Michel?

Peter

"After an in-depth examination, an Investigative
Commission titled "So-called Sects and Psycho-Groups" set up by the
German Bundestag
(Parliament) described the organization in its final report as an anti-
constitutional movement
with a criminogenic structure."

Of course, the matter however remains that it IS a misrepresentation
in the first post in this thread.
