Once again the 'safe sex' message has been ignored and the alleged
victim chose not to use specialist safety equipment during sex.
An old adage springs to mind: if you lay down with dogs you get fleas.
People who choose to believe in HIV should accept the consequences of
having 'unprotected' sex.

A Copperas Cove man faces charges of aggravated sexual assault with
deadly weapon after police say he had unprotected sex with a
16-year-old boy.
According to an arrest affidavit obtained by News Channel 25, that
deadly weapon is actually HIV.
The affidavit describes how 26-year-old Christopher Everett allegedly
met a 16-year-old boy on an adult social networking site called
"Grinder." The two chatted via cell phone and decided they would get
together on a Friday night in October.
During an interview with police, the teenaged victim explained how
Everett invited him to his home in Copperas Cove. The victim told
police how he snuck out of his parent's house and met Everett just
before midnight. The two then rode together to Everett's home in
Copperas Cove.
According to the affidavit, Everett "began kissing and touching him."
The victim then told investigators that Everett had unprotected sex
with him and drove him back home.
The victim learned through another "Grinder" user that Everett claimed
to be HIV-positive. Police say Everett admitted to that he was HIV
positive during an interview with investigators. According to the
affidavit, Everett did not inform his victim that he was HIV-positive.
Everett was in the Coryell County jail Tuesday in lieu of a $50,000
bond. He is charged with aggravated sexual assault with deadly weapon,
an offense punishable by five to 99 years or even life in prison.
