I will pray for you. Trust in God. He will lead you. Just try to slow
down and control yourself. Seek out a pastor or minister.
God be with you.

Breaking the covenant of marriage is very serious and exceptionally painful.
I understand that you want your wife back, but you may have to face that she
may never come back. Everything that a marriage is and requires has been
violated. The pain is too new, she can not trust you, her heart was broken,
her dignity violated, you must live with the circumstances and give her time
to forgive. This kind of hurt can take many many months to heal, sometimes
years, and indeed, sometimes never.
I hope that your terrible thoughts do not include suicide or threatening
suicide. I have seen people threaten suicide in situations like this and
normally that are trying to get their partner to feel sorry for them and
come back. Such emotional blackmail would be the WORST thing you could now
PUT your wife through, you need to take accountability for what you have
done. Your life is not in the balance. You sinned, now you have to pay the
price. Don't put your wife through anymore either by taking your life or
threatening to take your life. You bear the circumstances.
Now the good news. All sins were nailed to a cross 2000 years ago. If you
accept Jesus as your savior now, your sins are forgiven. You will have to
live with the circumstances, but your sins ARE forgiven. You do not need to
hope for forgiveness, you need to repent before God. God has dealt with
these very same circumstances all too many times.
I promise you, God can pull you through it. He pulled King David through
even worst circumstances. David not only committed adultry he had his
"lovers" husband sent to the front of the war line to die. Surely, God can
and will strengthen you and forgive you.
Now a few other things, if you are still seeing this other woman, then stop
it right now. You need to repent, and I believe you should fervently seek
some christian friends, & start going to church, & you need to get your
heart right before God. You need to give your wife time to forgive, don't
be selfish, give her time. Start using this time to develop a relationship
with Jesus.
God loves you, he already sent his Son to die for you, repent, and start
seeking an intimate relationship with God.
Love,
Dennis

Mark,
I have been where you are and I will tell you what a very good Christina
friend told. She simply hugged me and told me that God forgives ALL Sin.
He does not see some sins as big and some as small......... sin is just
sin. And it is all forgiven once we have claimed I John 1:9. They
are no longer remembered. What remains if for us to forgive ourselves and
go on from there. As far as your wife, that is between her and God. You
must rely on His promises for you and hold tight to Him. James 4:8a says
"Draw neigh to God and He will draw neigh to you." That verse comforted me
many a lonely night. May God walk with you.
