temptation provides that opportunity.
God uses the opposite situation of each fruit to allow us a choice.
you can't claim to be good if you've never been tempted to be bad. You
can't claim to be faithful if you've never had the opportunity to be
unfaithful. Integrity is built by defeating the temptation to be
dishonest; humility grows when we refuse to be prideful; and endurance
developes every time you reject the temptation to give up. Every time you
defeat a temptation, you become more like Jesus.

The Lord once showed me that it is necessary at times to experience the evil
fruit in order to all the more greatly appreciate the good fruit....
I ate a peach pit once when I was a child, I cracked it open and this little
interior pit was inside that shell ...it was extreme bitter and I have never
forgotten that fact, and yet I love the sweet taste of the peach to this
day...
