The jw and mormon and muslim and oneness pentecostal and a host of other
cults honor Jesus. All are not christian. All are based on a heresy that
attacks the nature of Christ as the 2nd person of the Trinity.

Sure, the jw and mormon and muslim and oneness pentecostal nd the host of
other cults have their on the fly invented rationalizations. All born in
the minds of individual men who have a self given authority to do the pope
thing with "my bible".

Save the muslim all the Christ attacking cults have come in the last 200
years. For 1800 to 1900 years all others were wrong and only each pope
with "my bible" in application of their pope tools have found the "truth".

Am I to understand, here, that the Holy Spirit is not a Person?

The jw and mormon and muslin and oneness pentecostalist and a host of other
cults honor Jesus.

All born of individual men doing their lone ranger pope thing with
scripture and inventing doctrines as seem best to them.

So how do you suppose? What is your definition of the Holy Spirit
- a person, or an it?

I would say, that par for the course, you speak boldly of what you
seem to not know.

That would be your conclusion, naturally.

Unfortunately, your believes about Orthodox beliefs doesn't seem
to have no sway. I'd recite the part of the Nicene Creed which
"explains" all this, but you apparently reject all explanations which
are not isogesis of scripture.

The reality of a person is not predicated by any definition.

I take it (from the rest of the thread) that the Holy Spirit is not
affirmed to be a Person.

Apparently, according to the Synod of Pete, PeterB, "Πέτρος σι.",
Peter B, PB, the Holy Spirit is neither a person, nor (it follows) of
the same essence with the Father and the Son.

it will no doubt confuse him even further to be informed that the
Holy Spirit is also co-equal, like the Son, and of the same essence as
the Father and the Son.

What he "understands" is what he brings to his reading of the
writers of others. As has been said, like a drunk seeking lampposts,
he does it for support, not illumination; .he looks for what he
believes they say, not what they actually say. But I will admit, it
is difficult to grasp what writers of several centuries ago meant,
especially when there have been several paradigm shifts in the
presuppositions of the readers.

"Became flesh and dwelt among us",ie. incarnation. Fully man and fully
God.

pretty sight..

But the Synod of Pete, PeterB, "Πέτρος σι.", Peter B, PB doesn't
believe in the Incarnation. They've made that abundantly clear in the
past.

As I've said, he reads not for clarification or information, but
to find out where everyone else went wrong.
