My mother's cellular phone company discontinued analog and digital
service to her older phone. They then refused to set up a new account,
to get a new phone, because she didn't have a driver's license.

However, she keeps getting a bill for service even though I've
contacted them several times informing them to cancel the account.

In effect they cut off her service and still want to bill her.

Any opinions?

It's simply amazing what a $76 letter from the hugely successful law firm
of Diaphram, Foam and Condom, LLC on that nice law firm letterhead they
leave in that special printer by the clerk-typist's desk can do informing
these bastards that the law firm will be representing Mom in this matter
and that all future correspondence and contact is to be directed to Mr
Irving Goldberg, the senior partner, from this point forward, not Mom.

Of course, Irv never heard of any of you as you only saw one of the
office clerks who runs the word processor, but he signs the letter in
that beautiful calligraphy his $800 Cross fountain pen he keeps in the
little pen holder on his desk in his palatial office you'll probably
never get into, creates. This was the 43rd exact letter he signed, just
today!

Irv's reputation for fucking the pants off the last 6 bastards that made
the mistake of fighting him in front of a jury full of hateful sellphone
customers, themselves screwed by this or that "plan" or "contract",
preceeds him into the sellphone company's retention office, especially
those guys in the corner enclosed office who remember what the nice judge
told them if he ever saw them in his courtroom again for these same
shenanigans.

Wanna bet Irv's signature will be sufficient to stop the billing?

Yes. Your state Attorney General must be a Republican.

Well, actually he's a Democrat.
