Straight Talk uses Verizon's system so could a Verizon phone be setup
through Straight Talk?

Yep....but why pay so much?

http://www.pageplus.com

How about Verizon-based cellular service for 41 cents a month and
5.1c/min with no funny business? It's that simple...nationwide
service...CHEAP!

See my detailed post today to another thread on alt.cellular.verizon.

Works fantastic.
No funny business.
If you simply buy a $9.20 card every 4 months, your minutes NEVER EXPIRE!
I just bought a Pageplus pin from callingmart.com for $72 that added $86
to my account....recharging me into the summer!..

Why pay more?
Why pay monthly??!
It's crazy!

You can even port your trusty old number over from The Borg....(c;]
...breaking the chains that bind and GAG!

No, but not because of any technological barriers- just policy. Straight
Talk (run by Tracfone) only allows their handsets on the service.

Considering they offer unlimited data on some plans, it's in their best
interest to keep phones capable of using a lot of data off their virtual
network.
