Radio fault on 6303

Hi
I've bought a new 6303 and all is well except for the radio - it seems to
occasionally cut out for a few seconds and also it refuses to work in stereo
(yes I have set the stereo option on). This is not down to a poor signal as
otherwise reception is clear and RDS works fine.
Has anyone else had these problems?
