Nokia 2610 question

I'm probably in the wrong newsgroup but figure I'll ask here anyway.

I purchased a Nokia 2610 Pay-Go phone recently while travelling in
California. It worked great while travelling in the USA but when I crossed
the border to get back home to Canada, I found out - contrary to the AT&T
reps claim - that the phone will not work on the Rogers Network without
unlocking it. I've tried contracting both AT&T and Nokia to get the unlock
code but as can be guessed, AT&T said not until I own the phone for 6 months
and Nokia said their hands are tied.

So while I'm in Canada I've got a high tech paperweight.

The reason for this post is

1) Does anyone know how to tell if I have a 2610 or 2610b? When I enter
*#0000# I get

When I connect with Mobius Phone Explorer it shows Nokia 2610b/2611.

2) I'm going to California again in Nov, so I was going to add some games to
my phone before I left. Is there a way to add games to the phone using
MobiMB Mobile Media Browser, or other tool, using a USB cable? (Yes I have
one.) I went to www.hovr.com using my PC and downloaded a .jad file, but
that didn't do anything for me.

Any help or suggestions appreciated
