U-Verse deployment has been very slow. They need an interim solution.

As I understand it, Dish, and now Direct, *is* their interim solution.

Dish is the SBC/ATT solution ubtil Jan 31, 2009. DirecTv was used by
Bell-South/ATT until that contract expired earlier this year.
