Alright. Now that I'm not intimidated but simply overwhelmed by post
volume, I'd like to introduce myself better.

My name is Bronwyn Boltwood. Bronwyn is a variation on the name Branwen,
who is a princess in a tragic Welsh legend, and it means something along
the lines of white-breasted. I know *somebody* will ask about the name
sooner or later, so there it is. :)
I happen to have three main personalities or "modes". Bron/Bronwyn
is the intellectual (and the one talking now) and has a bit of the other
two in her as well. She is frequently the one in control and is the main
personality -- the other two are basically facets or different modes.
There's Kittycat, who is more inclined to hug, cuddle, kiss, meow and purr
rather than think or talk, and like many cats, loves to lie in a comfy lap
and be stroked. :) Lady Chandra is the one that is mostly seen by Jason,
my boyfriend, so you can guess what she's like. :) I switch gears pretty
much automatically, Kittycat and Chandra only start taking control in
inappropriate places and times when they feel they've been denied enough
attention. If I start flipping between intellectual debates and
theorizing to wanting hugs, this is why. Everybody's around all the time,
it's more a case of who's in the driver's seat at the moment.
I love my friends very much, most especially my men (my best best
friends, all male!), who number four, and three of which have been/are/are
willing ot be my boyfriend, so Jason is one of them. Friends are a mix of
Stairwell (ones I know from school, we hang out in a stairwell) and my
penpals.
After people, reading, writing, music and art are things that I
love, in approximately that order. I will read voractiously anything at all
that looks interesting, and this ranges from Georgette Heyer to Heinlein to
fairy tales to Madeline L'Engle to Asimov to vast amounts of others. SF,
fantasy, fairy tales and myths are especial favourites. Can *you* spot
the romantic artsy? :) I write a variety of stuff, and if I ever get that
new story done, if people would like, I can post it and its predecessors.
I've just got a 5-minute warning and have to get back to my
physics soon, so a little more stuff. Brian Quirt, a friend, recommended
I come here, and I think I'll like it here. I'm in my last year of
highschool, so I *will* whine occasionally about my homework and teachers.
:) And does the bar serve good tea, and better yet, let one help make it?
Tea is not a beverage -- tea is a ritual.

I'd best shut up now. So, what next? :) Bron!

A small cloud of silvery sparkles approaches the newcomer and speaks
"Welcome Bronwyn. I am called Blessing. I am familiar with the tale you
mention. Truly it is a sad yet lovely story. May I offer you a beverage
of your choice, and if you wish, we may discuss Welsh legends."

Welcome to the Place Bronwyn! Let's see, aspiring writer, voracious
reader, MPD case, yup you'll fit in fine here. May I offer you a BOYC?
And if you don't mind, I'd love to see your tea talents. I am of the
personal opinion that hot tea is only for rituals, head colds, and
chinese food. Ice tea OTOH is one of the few beverages that I drink by
the gallon and I could always use a good new mix. Any time that you
have stories to tell, I've got time to listen.

You'll be in good company. There are a number of students
(both high school (I think) and College level), myself included
(starting back again this semister Yea!) so feel free to rant
once in a while.

Now, Lot's of people buy you a drink (whatever you'd like,
since we don't seem to card here) <g>. It's sort of a custom to
offer a drink to newcommers.

My God, another one.
I knew I liked Callahan's and Callahanians. But the doppelgangers are
starting to get to me....
(Sorry, Bron. It's just that Kristen and I recently discovered that we
appear to be the same person, and hearing about four male best friends who
hang out in stairwells is giving me the most bizarre flashbacks to my
ninth and tenth grade years. Those friends aren't in a band, are they?)

Feel free to join the Round Table editing list that I started a little
while back. Mail me for subscription info and the FAQ. Turnaround is
usually measured in days, though I've noted (*ahem*, certain
people--myself included because of my recent net.absence) less traffic
than usual in the last month.

Us college kids do that too. Don't worry about it. *)

Mike Callahan, our bartender, is very, very Irish, so I have no doubt that
he'll let you have a hand in the preparations for 4:00. *grin*

Hi, Bronwyn, may I offer you a cup of Keemun (my personal favorite) or
another BOYC? Of course, we may not have the same taste in teas, as I am
one of the few (the proud, the galactophagous) that adds milk to tea.
So, are you enjoying college applications yet :)? I'm currently a
sophomore in college, so I understand the feeling (finals next week).

"Hey! That's what *I* thought when I read Bron's posts!"

"47!" Kristen exclaims, grinning at Rose and Bron.

Kristen noisily clears her throat and fixes Rose with a stern look--that
breaks into a smile as she gets a fit of the giggles again.

"And store their guitars in lockers that have had the dividers bashed
away?"

"Uh, sorry." She apologizes to Rose. "Didn't mean to tell your story for
you... But Rose is absolutely, positively correct-a-mundo about her and I
being the same person. I often don't post in given threads since she has
literally said what I wanted to say."

"In my defense," Kristen begins, switching gears, "I've been ill and
haven't seen much to critique."

"Now if there were another genre of stories included in the list... One,
that *we*, in particular, share an interest in, dear Rose... I think that
would--heat us up." Smiling at the doppleganger with the red highlights,
Kristen grabs a nearby tissue box.

"Oh, it's for my nose. Sick--remember?"
