Russell Hoisington, who's posted here in the past, has ongoing medical
problems as some of you may be aware.
He went into the ER last Sunday, and the hospital kept him. As he
drove there, he had a minor accident.
Here's what Denny's contact said:
They discovered a possible tumor/blood clot on his brain and maybe one
in
his lungs. They took the brain tumor/clot out Wednesday afternoon.
According to him, they won't know if it was a cancer tumor until after
the
autopsy (biopsy). This tumor was affecting his vision. He
side-swiped a
truck on his left side. He wasn't able to see anything on the left.
Now
that the clot is gone, his sight's back to normal.
His hip is still hurting him bad. He's pretty doped up now. They are
still
trying to find out what the problem is.
Won't know more until after they run some more tests."
So please send out prayers, good thoughts, or whatever else serves
that function for you on behalf of our good friend Russ.
Thanks much,
Desideria
Good thoughts on the way. If you can pass them on to him I would
appreciate it.

Stay away from flying saucers today.
He is in my thoughts daily.

Toleration is not the opposite of intolerance but the counterfeit of it.
Both are despotisms: the one assumes to itself the right of withholding
liberty of conscience, the other of granting it.

Good thoughts for the best outcome (ideally and selfishly one where he
can still write)

Feel free to use the above variant pledge in your own postings.

Mine also.
I just heard from Denny. (E-Mail)
Russ is home but very tired. He hopes to send out a note on his condition
soon but he isn't getting enough rest yet. The phone keeps ringing. I'm
sure Desi will relay word from Denny with more info but I wanted to let all
you great folks know things are a little better at least.

I hope not from us!
He needs his est more than he needs people calling "to cheer him up",
or whatever.
(Russ, I'll send my goodthoughts this way...even though you won't hear
me directly.)

Hey, wys! Welcome back (of sorts). BOYC this evening? (perhaps in
celebration of Boise State? maybe it's their colors - orange and blue
- but I *like* them)

Thanks Wes... a mug of good coffee would be nice...
I see WAY more orange&blue around here than is strictly necessary!
I've been quietly sending GoodThoughts for Russ since the first post
informing us of his health downturn.
More on the way...
