So you're saying that he has a healthy, scientific interest in pedophiles, as
well as pre-teen sex, bondage, and teen erotica? Interesting point of view.

You fucking imbecile, it's a cmsg cancel!

God what a dolt!

He's _removing_ pedophile filth from the InterNet!

And only _your sort of scum_ would condemn someone _for removing filth from
the InterNet_.

Child molester!

When BajaRat covers his tracks, along comes Tiny to
cover for the Rat. VCT - not so much teamwork, as
hive mentality.

BajaRat tried to cover his tracks after
he was found out, but you already knew that, Ferret.

Idiot! He's canceling his own posts. You can't cancel other's posts.

What a crock of pus.

Only you would waste a moment apologizing for imbecility.

It's like the fool used the fact that the sun is shining as proof that it's
night.

And is too STUPID to notice it.

Rosanna Rosanna Annadanna is twice as smart as Spot. At least she has the
sense to realize she's wrong and say "never mind". Spot however is just too
stupid to notice he's wrong, and wneh told he's wrong, will simply argue
endlessly that UseNet doesn't exist, and if it did, it wouldn't work, and if
it worked, it wouldn't work by the rules. Not just a fuckhead, but an
IGNORANT fuckhead.

If that's what you think, you really need to spend some time in
news:news.admin.net-abuse.usenet -- you clearly haven't got a clue.

Well, I guess I can rule out the possibility that the reason your account
isn't yanked is because you are a news-admin at EarthStink...

I'd be real happy to prove you wrong, but I -- unlike you -- cannot support
criminal activity.

You probably think you're the top of the heap in terms of being able to
"forge" your headers by removing your actual account name and substitute
"Spot", don't you.

Idiot.

OK, leaving aside your resentment of the Hubbards, if you're such
an asset to net management, go ahead and isolate the forged cancels,
if any, relating to BajaRat's many documented excursions into the
realm of online pedophilia. It seems beyond dispute at this point
that BajaRat the VCT psychobilly mouthpiece first posted the filth,
then later went back and canceled it in the simplistic belief that it
would just sorta go away by itself after that. You're suspiciously
energetic in buttressing that erroneous assumption, Tiny. Check
your position, please.

This is the most outrageous bullshit coming from you.

There's no way to research this since Deja doesn't go back that far anymore,
there's no way to get a statistically-valid sampling of paths so as to
accurately assess from which server the "legitimate" BajaRat posted and thus
I can't compare.

It's also quite common for people to find objectionable posts in various
groups, and simply forge the alias@address of the poster, and thus most
servers will honor the cancels without question (or would at that time) --
hell, that's what the HipCrime 'bot was all about at first, morphing around
the net and automatically changing 'nym so as to cancel entire groups full
of crap content. (Unfortunately it fell into the wrong hands, but that's
another story.)

Now, if you are going to try to document BajaRat's "excursions into ...
pedophilia", go ahead and do it; in the meantime I figure it's just you
being you, and casting aspersions where none are due. In short, until you
prove otherwise, you are presumed to lie.

It won't work! And never has worked. Prove it by canceling this post using that
same technique.
You can't, nit wit!

Delusion, not story. Delusion! The sooner you begin to call it by it by the right
name, the closer you will get to getting well.

It's been proven, time and again, by several posters.

You had plenty of time before the changes at Deja, but enough people have
looked into it before you got off your posterior, knowing you'd arrived at
the party not fashionably, but deliberately too late.

Irrelevant and outdated ... practically misinformative of you.
Any good reasons for your extraordinary charity towards the old
pedophile known as BajaRat ?

I shouldn't have to be the one to explain to an important figure in the
information technology business such as yourself that only BajaRat could
have canceled his own post(s) and that he had plenty of reasons for
wanting to do this. Since the only alibi which you can concoct for the
VCT mouthpiece is the least likely story imaginable, it appears that the
liar here is you, Tiny. And why would you want to do that, again ?

So Klaatu Ferret, why do you protect

That must be a very effective artificial breathing apparatus
that allows you to keep your head up your ass for
extended periods of time, Silly. As usual, since you can't
offer anything of substance, you make false accusations,
and hope by repeating them, to make them stick.

So what you appear to be saying now is that someone who is *not* BajaRat of
VCT, who was indeed booted off ix.netcom.com, forged cancels of his solicitation
of underage male prostitutes, and that this macabre circumstance is fine by you.
Whereas, it is infinitely more probable that BajaRat undertook the cancels himself.
In your intoxication with netadmin trivia, you have actually blown his cover once
and for all. Well done, Tiny, even if you didn't really mean to do well at all.

You've gone to amazing lengths to fabricate absurd excuses for the arch
blaggard and sexual deviant known as BajaRat. You're churning out one
nonsensical scenario after another to try covering for him and his abject
perversion and violent racist campaigns. You already crossed the line into
falsehood and forgery too often and now you expect to be mistaken for
anything but a rotten misshapen little liar ? No dice, Tiny.

It has yet to be demonstrated that he's a pedophile.

All that has been demonstrated is that someone posting as BajaRat cancelled
a post in newsgroups known for pornography.

It might not even be BajaRat, and it might not have even been pr0n that got
cancelled.

And perhaps, you pretentious baboon masquerading as a hominid, if you will
look at the headers you will see that the cmsg cancel, and the post in
question, originated at nntp.ix.netcom.com and not at Deja; hence whatever
Deja's cancel policies are make no goddamned difference, since UseNet exists
entirely apart from Deja.

I like my job, dicknose, or I would be exceptionally happy to run
CancelMoose (or SpamHippo) on all instances of posts by yourself.

So, to rephrase, I absolutely _can_ cancel you, but I _may not_. That would
be UseNet Abuse. As a sysadmin with a reputation to conserve, not even for
the likes of your sorry ass will I cancel your posts.

Anyone else with lesser ethics than mine own is cordially invited to erase
this scum from the pond.

Anyone can forge a cancel. Whether or not the cancel is honored is entirely

up to the server administrator; so many forged cancels have been issued that
most servers do not honor them unless they come from accredited sources.

Whether or not a specific browser will allow a cancel to be sent after a
message with a different ID address than that of the message, this is
totally browser dependent -- Netscape won't allow it, nor will Outhouse
Express, nor most recent versions of `tin`. However, older versions of `tin`
certainly allowed that, and in any case, source code is available which can
be easily hacked to allow one to send cancels after messages not one's own,
or for that matter to suck every name out of a given newsgroup, ID all of
the messages with specific addresses, and remove some or all of any given
users' messages.

How the hell do you think they cancel SPAM?

I wouldn't. I also am not lying.

You, however, are a clueless newbie and completely incomprehending of the
mechanisms you are abusing whenever you post to UseNet. Suffice it to say,
you have only made yourself appear to be either a willful lying fuckhead
misrepresenting issues for personal vanity, or one of the most laughably
clueless newbie who is completely incomprehending of even the slightest of
the inner workings of the tools you use daily.

You protect a known pedophile who

is connected at the butt to Spencer's
VCT (AmPatrol) racist organization,
who is ripping off Americans even as
we post. What does Klaatu Ferret gain
by this association with such a group?
Birds of a feather? Why do you post
to pre teen "chat rooms" Klaatu?????

BajaRat himself admitted that the porn was issuing from his computer.
Then he tried to outdo himself and claimed that it had been going on
for *five years* under his nose, by a "disgruntled employee". But at
no time did financial ne'er do well BajaRat ever *have* any employees
except in the biblical sense ...

Judy, I do not now, nor have I ever, posted to teen chat rooms.

I have no association with VCT.

You have not proven in any way, nor has anyone else, that VCT is "ripping
off Americans".

Nobody so far as I know has proven that BajaRat is a pedophile, known or
otherwise.

Why do you lie, Judy? Why do you make false accusations?

Again you display to all that your brain is firmly esconced in a crock of
shit.

People who forge cancels aren't concerned about legalities, as a rule. I,
however, am concerned about legalities and also about forged cancels. I
don't forge cancels. Your statement was entirely nonsequitur.

I have no record of this. Care to provide one? Can't? Won't?

> of underage male prostitutes, and that this macabre circumstance is fine by you.

If it was BajaRat who posted the alleged article, why would he need to forge
a cancel? He could just issue one via standard procedure. Why would I need
to approve or disapprove if he's canceling his own posts? For that matter,
how do I know that the posts he cancelled weren't forgeries issued under his
name to discredit him?

> Whereas, it is infinitely more probable that BajaRat undertook the cancels himself.

Sure, it's just as probable that someone forged his name to a discreditation
attempt, and he noticed it and cancelled it.

Why are you so concerned about a known

a known pedophile? Duh, maybe because you
post to pre-teen chat rooms has something
to do with it? Or is the racist aspect of
BajaRat which draws you to the swine?

Thanks, but as quickly as Tiny dragged this thread in there
it can be ended. He's soliciting legit tech/life support for a
necrotic political issue, but may have to reboot himself first.

Well, stupid and insane JudyBot, I _don't know_ that BajaRat is a pedophile.
I have only your assertion, which is a common ploy of character
assassination.

Since you are also attempting to engage in character assassination against
me, I presume you're doing it against Baja. He will be innocent until proven
guilty. You have not proven him to be guilty of anything.

I do not post to pre-teen chat rooms, nor to teen chat rooms..

Hardly, you verminous tripe-stuffer.

Go eat a box of hookworm pills, or would that make you fall apart entirely?

Not that there's been all that much together with you in any case.

I brought this in here so that some of the technically knowledgable people
could set you straight as to how cancels work, and that anyone with a clue
can cancel anyone else's messages, so long as the servers to which the cmsg
cancels propagate are configured to honor said cancels.

Jump right in, Jafo. Your pedophile friend BajaRat
admitted the posts came from his computer, and that
is not open to reinterpretation even by a fascist
apologist like you, or ugly, forging Brother Tiny.

So, "wrong" is what you do, the way you do it, and any
reason you think you have to do it. Other than that,
for an old bald guy stuck in the closet, you're doing
just fine.

<shitcanned>

BajaRat, SchmahaRat. The monomaniacal fixations that you develop upon
your adversaries is downright hilarious. You stated that only the
author could cancel his own posts. Klaatu pointed out the fact that
this statement is technically incorrect. You've evaded that and
attempted on several different occasions now to "respond" with your
usual vicious personal slams. How many people do you think you're
fooling with these frantic and transparent evasions? You made a
statement on Usenet operation, and the statement was wrong. Deal
with it.

But has yet to prove it. If you are counting on the example posted earlier,
you will notice a distinct difference in the two cancel posts. Klaatu's
stated the person and their url who initiated the cancel post, and listed the
appropriate agency, BajaRat's did none of that. It only listed BajaRat in
that header. Whoops : ) Style wins over substance again. Can't help it

Reload your newsreader. You'll see that a HipClone cancelbot just cancelled
my posts, and Dave the Resurrector resurrected it. More proof than that
ought not to be required.

It isn't everyone's business. Not unless you
want to make your maniacal obsession everyone's
business, in which case, keep going. You're
halfway back into the sanitarium already.

You can't go back to where you've never been.

And, and which maniacal obsession were you talking about? You fantasize that
I have so many.

and you never did tell us, _was_ that you who ran the Hipclone cancel bot
against my posts yesterday, disproving your own point?

Nahh, you got the wrong end of the stick there. After all, hc23hc
doesn't think it's possible to cancel other people's articles, right?
I'm afraid you've just got caught in the crossfire that's going on here
and in araa/arna/afn. DtR re-posts anything that gets cancelled in
here automatically and adds that tag in the header.

Other than the semantic correction that nobody can *legitimately*
cancel the posts of anyone else, the gist of what only your clinical
obstinacy prevents you from understanding is, that this topic isn't
about Usenet operation. BajaRat already admitted on alt.california
that years' worth of pornographic posts emanated not just from his
ISP account, but directly from his computer. He blamed these years
of male youth pornography on "a disgruntled employee" allegedly
either trying to discredit him, or else just coincidentally sharing
to a tee BajaRat's own predilection for certain international centers
of underage male prostitution, in Mexico, in Costa Rica and in Phuket,
Thailand. What a coincidence. Then there is the small detail of
BajaRat never having had any employees. You deliberately overlook
that as well as all the other reasons why Tiny's ostentation with
Usenet trivia is completely and utterly irrelevant, BajaRat already
having implicated himself in the series of posts under review.

Now, why either you or Tiny should take it upon yourselves to launder
the filthy reputation of BajaRat with the same diligence as virulent
Holocaust revisionists seek to minimize the core evil of that shameful
period in history, is not at all easy to understand, unless you are both
exactly the sort of slimy little fascist lapdogs you already appear
to be.

Thank you for proving it.

you've probably still got a copy in your offline folder on your own

The little ignoramus is using Netscape's newsreader, so that is quite likely
the case. He sees it still there, and the body still appears when he clicks on
it, so to him it *must* still be on the server.

"Duuuuuh, gee Tennessee, the message is still in my newsreader, so it wasn't
cancelled!"

Maybe someone can contact a former Netcommie that's using Earthlink's 6 month
free offer to confirm that Earthlink's news server accepted the cancel.

Explain it to someone who cares, Dave. My only interest in this
thread is why a half-baked forging wannabe sysop like Tiny would
argue the legitimacy of forged cancels to distract attention from
his unstable, violent pornographer crony, BajaRat. If you want
to give Tiny a free education, please don't let me stop you.

It won't automatically make him a better person.

Just did it. I unsubscribed from alt.california, and then subscribed to it
again. My post, mentioned above, is still there. There are no cancel post
shown in the 500 post that I downloaded. I was actually hoping that it would
be there because I had intended to show that, by looking at the header, there
is a significant difference from a usenet cancel and the one from BajaRat that
was posted earlier. The whole point of this exercise is to demonstrate that
the post in question was not a forgery, but the real thing emanating from
BajaRat. The header in the cancel post that you did would have shown clearly
the discrepancies. If you have a copy of that cancel post that you did on my
post, I would appreciate it if you would post it. Hate to drag you into this
brouhaha, but then, you did get involved all by yourself, didn't you?

Anyway, thanks for the effort.

I told you, as did your therapist, that Ketamine should not be injected into
your carotid artery, but you just never listen. Apparently you also don't
listen when people tell you not post to UseNet after you go ahead and do it
anyway.

And I haven't forged anything. Prove it! You can't because it didn't happen.
Nit Wit!

You're even hinging all of your argument on BajaRat forging cancels to
remove pr0n that someone posted as him, forging headers to do it. But nobody
can prove anything because neither the forged cancels nor the forged pr0n
messages have full path information.

So all of this argument resolves only to whatever is demonstrable, and
what's been demonstrated is that anyone can forge anything, and anyone can
forge cancels to cancel anything. And you hinged your argument on that
"fact" and it was demonstrated to be a non-fact.

So, as always, you lose because you're wrong.

He's a genuine FsckHead, even if the rest of the world knows it's gone, he

Didn't get canceled! It was on Earthlink's news server as last as three days ago, and
that has to be a record for Earthlink where posts disappear and reappear almost
spontaneously.

If EarthStink doesn't honor cancels, that means that the message wasn't
cancelled there -- and you can't cancel your own stuff either. Which means
that the bars of your intellectual-rapists' cage which you built yourself
are strong strong strong. Nothing you do can remove the evidence against
you.

Guilty, sentenced, soon to be fried.

Keep in mind that even if all of your $cientologist buddies at EarthStink
can read your confessions of lameness, it doesn't mean that anyone else in
the world has the slightest clue that you consistently pretend to have
something to say.

They hunt you down like the dog you are, WeaselBob. No liquor store, homeless
shelter, park bench, or wooded pasture will provide you refuge. With toothpicks
drawn, the Soldiers of Earthlink will find you, and 'pick you like the Bull

So much for Tiny's concept of religious freedom and of
the First Amendment, as it protects anyone but himself.

How do they deal with a stupid JudyBot who stalks several posters from
newsgroup to newsgroup and thread to thread?

$cientology isn't a religion. It's a Ponzi Scheme based on hoodwinking the
marks into paying ridiculous sums of money to subject themselves to
thought-control under the guise of "auditing", where they get hooked up to
homemade and low-quality lied-detectors and questioned relentlessly about
the deepest detail of their own and of others' personal lives.

$cientology is banned across most of the planet, with a variety of judges in
places such as incredibly-liberal Australia declaring it a public menace,
and in Germany, which understandably is not interested in suppressing anyone
on religious or ethnic grounds, $cientology has been declared a foreign
intelligence agency, due to its habits of black-bag breakings, forgery of
documents, falsification of legal claims and other sordid practices.

Pay attention. I *was* explaining it to someone who cares, namely
Tiny. Why you should get so upset that someone jumps in to correct
his misunderstanding and set him straight that *you* are not committing
net-abuse and cancelling people's articles I don't know.

Forged cancels are indeed not legitimate. OTOH, if you have the
rights to an email address, you also have the right to cancel any
message that was posted with that address - that is to say, you have
the right to delete any forgeries made in your name. I didn't see
the start of the thread, but jumped in at the point where you said

> > > > > Idiot! He's canceling his own posts. You can't cancel other's
posts.

The thread was tied up with some discussion about Deja at that
point. It's true that you can't get someone else's posts nuked at
Deja, since they mail a confirmation request to the address in the
post (although if you become the new owner of an email address
that someone else formerly used, you could nuke the posts they
had made when they used to own the address), but standard
usenet cancels have no such confirmation mechanism and hence
anyone can cancel anyone else's posts. This, of course, does not
make it right to do so. (cf. Hipcrime et al.)

Yep. As Andrew Gierth confirmed, Earthlink's servers don't honour
cancel messages.

You don't see cancel posts in the group they cancel an item in. Instead
the server gathers all the cancel posts together and synthesizes a pseudo
newsgroup, control.cancel, where you can usually find them.

Now, I have no idea of the genuineness or otherwise of the posts and
cancels that you two are arguing over; I'll just point out that where I put
the From: header, I could have entered any email address I liked and
it would have made no difference, and that the X-Cancelled-By is
completely optional. You can't *easily* deduce whether a cancel is
forged or not from the headers, although you can look for evidence:
if there's an NNTP-Posting-Host header, does it come from the
same netblock/dialup provider that the poster normally uses? Does the
Path tail match the server that the poster normally posts through?

But these aren't conclusive evidence either. Anyone who posts through
the same ISP and news server could do a forgery that would be
indistinguishable from a genuine posting by the true owner of the From:
address. The only way to tell in that case would be to get your hands
on the ISP's modem logs, find out what the CLI was for the user who
made the post (based on IP address from a NNTP posting host header),
and compare that to known posts from the same author - we can
assume that the forger wouldn't have access to the forgee's home
phone line.

This is the United States, Tiny. You personally should be "understandably
not interested in suppressing anyone", but the opposite is true. Your
vengeful lynch-mob attitude and crippled personality make you less at home
here than in a fascist dictatorship, better still one populated exclusively
by Hubbards. FedEx makes a small box you'll fit in for the trip.

I'm completely relaxed, if that matters. Nobody has ever accused me
of forging post cancellations. I haven't ever even canceled any of my
own legit posts, nor of any posts forged under my name, let alone anybody
else's. The real question is why a half-baked sysop imitator such as Tiny
would a) be so ignorant and b) use his paucity of acumen to try and rehab
forgers, as he has often done, and then via total overdosages of voodoo
geekery, attempt to mitigate the misdeeds of known usenet thug BajaRat.
Talk about a little knowledge being a dangerous thing - his is Tiny !

Probably I was just being sarcastic to hc23hc, Dave, she brings out the best
in me.

Also, evidently the drily humorous imputation that someone -- protesting
that cancelling the posts of others to be impossible -- might be the best
cover (denial/protestations of innocent/ignorance) for a cancel-spewer. You
know, "both the innocent and the guilty deny the crime".

Right. The point I am trying to get across to this individual is that once
you get from the initial position of cancels being wrong, one gets into a
thorny morass of forged identities, and forgers posting forged articles to
implicate another individual (at least to those ignorant of the
possibilities in forgery), and potentially you have the real individual
implicated by the forgery legitimately cancelling articles forged under
their name, or you have alternatively a possibility of legitimate articles
cancelled by individual forging the identities of the original poster. You
can also get into secondary layers of permutations of forgery and deception,
etc etc but let's not get into all of that until the situation requires it;
this is not the sort of person you want to give any ideas to...

Absolutely. Rather late in my life, I am learning to fight my oppressors,
rather than simply lying back and enjoying the rape.

Surely you can understand that?

I make no claim to scholarship in usenet matters, but I have seen, actually seen
with my own eyes, canceled posts in news groups. So what does that mean?

Here is the original cancel post that started the whole discussion. As you will
immediately note, it is a deja cancel, so what you said specifically about deja
posts is most applicable. There is virtually no way that anyone else could have
canceled this post other than the original author. The whole thread was based
on that cancel post, and that premise. That we have even gotten into
news.admin.net-abuse.usenet, is purely due to the obfuscation of WeaselBob in
his attempt to defend a known poster of pornography. That he shares some
political ideas with that cur is secondary to the thread, but it is the primary
reason for his dragging this thread into your group. The cancel post, or all of
the crap that WeaselBob offered up in the defense of this dog, was pure
subterfuge. I apologize for the disruption of your group with this garbage, and
I suggest that you deal with WeaselBob within your own group. Thanks for your
attention.

>

Thanks for your
attention.

You
can also get into secondary layers of permutations of forgery and deception,
etc etc but let's not get into all of that until the situation requires it;
this is not the sort of person you want to give any ideas to...
