Undoubtedly a good move. Closing unneeded bases will make the military
leaner, and free up money for more weapons and troops.

You FUCKING MORON! Next time, just say that the link includes
information about which bases are recommended for closure and which are
recommended for expansion. Only a low-time-value marginal like you
would copy-and-paste the entire fucking list.

I looked into joining the reserves right after 9/11, but they weren't
accepting any 49-year-old men at that time.

When are you joining up, punk? Why are you so willing to let your
fellows go off and die for you? Ah, don't bother trying - "don't ask,
don't tell" is still in effect, and you wouldn't be able to resist
telling.

You looked into it eh? as in you passed the recruiting station on your way
to the liquor store? By the way there Grandparents and single mothers
serving in Iraq and with all the stories of recruiters helping kids lie to
get in, I'll bet they'd gladly help you out. You should feel ashamed to let
women fight in place of you. And if the military won't take you go work for
Halliburton as a truck driver. Support the troops and all that......

ANY reason.
Not gay either. Happily married.

I just don't believe him. He lies so often there is no reason to believe
anything he says. And he's way too stupid (not to mention mentally
unstable) to be officer material.

Yes.

No. As in, when I called up the recruiting office near where I live.

What's your story? Why didn't you volunteer?

That's nice. They also were already in the military.

Are you advocating that recruiters not follow the rules? Why are you
advocating that?

Why? Are you suggesting women aren't tough enough? Why don't you make
that suggestion to the face of a woman?

What are you going to do?

That one has the ring of truth.

That particular flame is retracted and apology rendered. All other flames
remain in place, of course, but that one is retracted.

It's kind of interesting, isn't it, that you never hear

out the old regime, and it IS vital to American
security interests to ensure that a stable, reasonably
democratic regime is established in Iraq and given a
chance to flourish. Given the current situation, the
only way to do that is to maintain American military
forces in Iraq for some time to come, so I will
volunteer to go."

Osama bin Laden will come to New York and personally
begin rebuilding the WTC before you hear any gutless
American leftist say anything like that.

In 1917, my grandfather enlisted in the Army at age 30,
with FOUR children at home, and was in the trenches in
France. I don't know any of the family lore concerning
his enlistment, although I can't imagine my grandmother
was too thrilled; and I have no idea if my grandfather
thought our involvement in WWI was necessary or wise.
But he went. It's inconceivable to think that any of
these leftist whiners today could ever engage in even a
trivial act of selfless sacrifice, let alone risk the
ultimate.

And of course he continually lies through his teeth so anybody who believes
ANYTHING the little twerp writes deserves the same ridicule for being so
damned stupid and gullible.
