I don't know whether there was an original conscious plan to the
effect consisting of combininb making straight guys afraid of being
wrongly ferreted out as gays with Bar Mitzvah's (fertility rites, in
essence,) but I feel certain that at some point the scapegoating of
gays was intended to increase population (google/use search engines
