I assume someone wanting "total control" will be very annoyed !!!
But they can always do REQUIRED MDI edits later, right?
Have you tried MasterCAM or any real CAD/CAM systems?
BTW, Why do you have such problems drilling holes ???

IIRC You have to first have solids AND the option to use it. AND
a release that supports both. Do you even have that?
You (and some others) have neither.
