Does anyone know of any Landscape design software? Is there an add on
package to Autocad that will do the same thing? Thanks in advance.

You can download hundreds of tree and shrub blocks off of the internet in
numerous places if you search. I personally do not use a specialized
landscape software and find I do not need it.

Visit the AutoCAD Download Area of my site for blocks of trees on plan
and elevations. they are drawn at 1m high & radius, thus use the scale
factor when placing to get the diameter or height you are after.

Hope this helps

So like an idiot, I go to this guys
site. This is what I'm greeted with:

<< Apology to NETSCAPE USERS
Because I created this web site using Microsoft Word
2000, the links don't work for Netscape users !!!. >>

Using my trusty Netscape 4.7 browser,
I test the links, thinking "No way!
This guy wouldn't design a site that
doesn't support Netscape browsers."
Guess what? His web site doesn't! So
I can only walk away - me, and a hun-
dred million other netizens - shaking
my head...thinking, what a inexcusable
shame.

Haphazzard or can I call you Hap ?

>> So like an idiot, I go to this guys site. This is what I'm greeted with:

<< Apology to NETSCAPE USERS Because I created this web site using
Microsoft Word 2000, the links don't work for Netscape users !!!. >>

The rest of the apology goes:-

--------------------------------------------------------------

" It seems that Bill Gates only ensured that Word 2000 web author only
works for people using Microsoft Internet Explorer. ( Do you think he
is after world domination ? Where is James Bond when you need him ? ).

I will get round to fixing this problem, as soon as I find an
alternative editor and have the time to fix every link, until then all
I can advise is that this site is best viewed using Bills software. "

---------------------------------------------------------------

What can I say, ( Hangs his head in shame ) Before I created this site
I had created two intranet sites using Word for work /office use.
Because we use microsoft Office software the problem never came to
light.

I was only notified of the problem by a Netscape user, about 3 months
of being live on the web !!!!!

By then it was to late, you see that it appears that you can't load
pages created in Word back into other html editors ( I've tried honest
). Boy I hate that Bill Gates.

However salvation is at hand with a program called HTMLSlasher that
I've just downloaded and I am playing with. This program will
automatically correct what Word screws up.

If I try this software out on the download page, could you test it for
me ? I don't have Netscape I use Compuserve.

>> So I can only walk away - me, and a hundred million other netizens

>> - shaking my head...thinking, what a inexcusable shame.

Before I got HTMLSLasher I tried altering the source code in WordPad,
guess what as soon as the page got re-loaded into word it put
everything back to the way it was before.

Once fixed you will be able to check out the statistic on the site and
you will find that statistically first time Netscape visitors account
for less than around 8% of visitors to the site. It seems that Bill
Gates is taking over the world ( not that I like it ).

Where is James Bond when you need him ?

Alan, if you'd care to learn a little HTML, www.htmlgoodies.com is a great
HTML tutorial page. It skips the BS and shows you what you need to know to
get a page like yours done.

I do my HTML stuff all in Notepad and I actually prefer it now.
(Masochistic, maybe?)

Just thought I'd mention it.

Yep...... Masochistic....

I really don't want to learn HTML code, saying that I learnt a small
amount to get some functions that Word did not have built in.

I'd rather learn more about LISP. I have a number of applications I
wrote for Cadvance in Cadvance Language/BASIC that I want to port over
to AutoCAD.

It's just time, I want to find out how to construct a dialogue box
that has input filelds for data, radio on/off toggle buttons, other
click buttons for Load / Save etc.etc.

I had the smae problem creating a web site in Word 2000. It looked great on
my computer, and any one else who had office. The other problem with these
sites is that Word creates a separate picture file that is huge compared to
the acutal graphics size.
I downloaded Cute HTML (the download was free & then purchased it). I
allready use Cute FTP to upload so it was a familiar program.
I know only limitted HTML code, however this program grayscaled problem
areas, and I could recognize the bogus Word codes. With a little bit of
experimenting I was up and running again in no time, I only had to repair
the site instead of recreate it.

.Good luck

I can't say I blame you, there. I tried a couple of HTML editors, but
didn't like any of them, so I just grinned and beared it.
