Compared with the same period of last year, Myanmar's timber exports
dropped drastically in the first half of 2009.

The descent rate of export amount:
teak logs: dropped by 60%
hardwood: dropped by 6%
lumber: dropped by 57%.

The main reason is that orders decrease sharply , which also leads to
a substantial decrease in export prices.
