landscape designers?

I have a new home that needs landscaping. I am completely unfamiliar with
it and need someone to tell me what looks good. I'm looking for a landscape
designer to help me design it. Everytime I call landscape companies out of
the phone book they tell me they only do the actual work and that if I
needed ideas I need to go to a designer. However I cannot find anyone.
Maybe because it is the busy season and everyone is booked. Or if anyone
knows a good computer software program that can let me try different ideas?
I'd appreciate any feedback! Thanks. Julie

Julie,we (earlybird landscapes) ,are landscape designers
who also follow the design through to completion.I would
need to know your location,if we are to be of use to you

It will give you essential information on design and construction
fundamentals. The site is not quite finished yet but is about to be launched
as a free site, with a membership service coming on line next year.
