There are many kinds and variations of Faux Finishes that have been
around for centuries and are here again gaining in popularity. All
of which can be done anywhere in your home, your office and even
commercial establishments.
These kinds of paint finishes can be created and color matched to
suit any decorating plans you may have. These finishes are durable
and can be cleaned as easy as washing with a damp sponge or cloth.
The infinite color ranges available today can be brought together in
the exact shade and amount to achieve that special look. This is
rarely possible with a wall paper. Another advatage that Faux
Finishing has over wall paper is that you will NEVER see a seam, have
to worry about matching patterns or have to look at corners as they
start to peel off from the wall.
I was fortunate enough to have studied under a master Faux Finisher
for 3 years who has done work in Europe, the U.S.A and Canada. In my
almost 16 yrs of painting, 9 of which I have been self employed and
doing both straight painting as well as Faux Finishing, I've worked
with the home owner, designer and contractor to find just the right
finish to create an atmosphere that is not only needed but Desired.
