Bowed Ceiling Drywall

A friend recently bought a house and the unfinished (not taped and mudded) drywall is bowed down between the trusses across the whole ceiling. I looked in the attic and there is standard %30 batt insulation between the trusses and I don't know why the drywall is bowing down. What is the easiest/least expensive way to fix this? He doesn't want to tear all the existing drywall out if it can be helped. Thanks.... more »

Do you think that Peer-to-Peer, FTP
IRC technologies etc...are too much complicated !? There is a simpler technology to use, Autosend. This software allows file-sharing by only using your e-mail account. Autosend allows sharing files on your computer through regular email. It is an automatic file mailer... more »

Do people still use nails?

I've heard that builders are starting to use glue exclusively instead of
nails. I guess its a cost savings. The builder I visited last week said
there were less than 100 nails in the home that he just built. I find this
hard to believe.

Formerly flooded house

I am buying a house in NJ which has an outdoor heating and cooling unit I guess its like a heat pump and I think it was at least partially under the ocean or bay or whatever during the hurricane "Sandy". It sits about a foot off the ground and I wonder if it can be salvaged with just a circuit board replacement and maybe a blower motor.... more »

I was just playing with an app called TilePro for the iPhone. It's
just a simple app that gives you a starting point for setting your
tiles when you want to end up with equal tiles at the walls. Looks
like a nice DIY'er tool.
