Don't be an ass. You post in one group that you "ran across this site"
and in this post you're the webmasturbator.

Building trust usually requires cessation of lying. So stop.

My apologies, I guess I underestimated the response that I would get
from these posts, I didn't mean to seem like a spammer, as a start-up
company we are dealing with limited funds. I had the belief that
getting the name out there in any form would help. With a little
hindsight on my part I see that I come across just like everybody else.
I will not post in these forums again for purely advertisings issues.

Apologies

In the end, a company has only it reputation. Regardless of the product is
offers, a great product encased in a sleazy reputation if bound to failure.

Technical skill (ie, computers) does not equate to business acumen.

It's not that you used this forum improperly, it's that you blatantly LIED
about it.

Your integrity/reputation is now completely "toast". While five or may have
replied (so far), there are dozens, perhaps a hundred that "lurk".

Matt, thank you for being honest and respectful in your responses, I am
at a loss for how to respond properly. I agree that how I proceeded in
these posts was not a very well formulated plan of action. What seems
good in your mind one day, may not seem so intelligent the following.
As a young/growing business person you do not always see the complete
picture until it is right before your eyes. I will learn from this
mistake and take it with me into future ideas.

And please don't see this as me trying to "blow smoke" up your
rear, I hadn't considered fully what my appearance would be to the
outside world, and I appreciate that you took the time to confront me
with it.

I hope your candor will be taken into account by the people here.

Good luck in the future, but always remember that a reputation is the
easiest thing to break and virtually impossible to repair. Also, be _very_
wary in using mass marketing techniques; you might garner a couple
customers, but irriate a hundred more.

Nice attempt at damage control. I see you're going back and deleting
your messages through Google. You do realize that once you post
something it's on the net forever, right? Maybe _you_ won't see it
through Google, but it's still on servers around the world that have
nothing to do with Google.

You blame it on making sense one day and not the next - what day was
that? When you posted this?

I was searching the net for a company to come repair my hottub and
after searching for way longer than I anticipated, I came across this
site(http://www.everyoneshome.com) it not only had hottub repairs
listed but was exactly what I have been looking for, it had everything
to do with the home. If your tired of getting the run-around searching
for local businesses on search engines, check it out, you won't be
sorry

Where exactly did you learn that lying one day and not the next, then
apologizing, equates to telling the truth from the start? Where did
you learn to compliment people on being honest when they're calling you
on lying? Not sure what standard you use for defining "honest" in that
situation - yours or theirs.

There's no reason to be respectful to someone who lies for no good
reason. And you are blowing smoke. You represent yourself as a mommy,
"Jill", in a mommy newsgroup, and similarly misrepresent yourself in
others. If you don't see a pattern there, don't worry, everyone else
does.

Do us a favor, take your "Jill" and jack off, Jack.

Yes, I guess you could say that I am making an attempt at damage
control. I used a misguided idea and it has now blown-up in my face. I
deleted my messages because as the people in this forum have shown me I
made a mistake. But I am addressing that mistake. What I did, at the
time seemed like it was no different than say... an athlete endorsing a
product that they know little about or something to that effect. It was
an error of judgment on my part and I am taking responsibility for it.
I don't seek your forgiveness or your approval for that matter. I
simply wanted to admit a mistake and apologize to anyone who felt
offended by my actions. This was my first time attempting some exposure
in forums (my first time using google forums period for that matter)
and I have gained some important lessons on Internet etiquette.
Furthermore, I apologized to Matt and the users of this group because I
felt that they deserved a response on my part, he addressed me in a
dignified manner and I felt that warranted a reply. If you don't see
matters in the same light I can not change that. As for, when did I
think that lying one day and changing my position the next, I was
blinded by my desire for any type of exposure to fully consider what I
was doing. It was a monumental mistake and I will have to suffer with
the consequences.

I am sure that it doesn't matter what I write here, it will not be
seen in the light that I am trying to convey it. If people are
unsatisfied by my response, I don't have the ability to alter that.
