Awhile back I started on an Oz search engine project.
Never did actually find one specifically related to Oz that indexed by
keyword, so I figured I would come up with one. The tricky part was
getting all 14 baum Oz books into a coherent format.
So I thought I would stop in to let you guys know that my Ozmatron
Classic Oz/Baum search engine is now basically functional. Initially, I
cut some corners and tried to do it with bible indexing software, but
while it worked, I found that the code bases were all missing things I
wanted and had to be stripped down and rewired in order to do what I
wanted them to do, it was messy. So I thought I would write one from
scratch.
And here we are. About three weeks later, and all the basic features are
online, but I've got some more very interesting stuff lined up to be
implemented within the next couple of months.
Now, in addition to having the complete texts indexed by keyword, it
also features a near complete set of images from the series, mostly in
full color. That makes it the biggest picture database for the Oz books
on the web today... which is pretty exciting.
Would love to know what you think!

Have a good one guys and gals
