Hi,

Hi, I really enjoy the movie "Carrie", and am going to see it in
the movie theatre tonight or tomorrow night... the movie is enjoyable
and entertaining... however, what I'd like to kn ow is: why did the
character played by Amy Irving ask her boyfriend Tommy to take Carrie
to the prom? Was she in on the plot from the beginning? did she find
out about it later, or only at the end of the movie? ...also, did
anyone else besides Amy Irving survive at the end? thanks...

Not to mention (especially since I don't think I've seen the movie all
the way through, certainly not in one sitting) that it's also
explained in the book.

I haven't read the book. the only SK book I've read is "the dead
zone"... I watched the movie again, and I have a feeling that there is
a lot of
symbolism in the movie that I wonder about... whether or not the
symbolism was intentional... for example, carrie washing off the
menstral blood in the shower, at the beginning of the movie, and then
at the end of the movie, Carrie in the bath, washing off the pig's
blood... there must be some religious symbolism intended by this
framing device...
