Hi M:
I love the series too. I have read them all several times. I can't
get enough of Claire and Jamie either. the consept of the book is one
that I have always loved. My first time travelor book was call The
Looking Glass. I loved it. The simple idea of looking in a mirror
sent this girl to different times. The difference is that the girl
in this story came and went through the mirror all through the
book. Claire's travelling is a bit more permanent. My
favorite is still Outlander, I love the part were Claire and Jamie
have to get married to keep her safe from BJR. Mind you there are
others that rank up there too. I will not spoil them for you as you
have only just started the series. Which part is your favorite so
far?
I check in fairly regularly so feel free to chat away to me.

Hi, I love the series and have also read them many times. Everytime a
new book comes out, I pull the the complete set of books and work
thru... I am in love with Jamie and Clair with all their drama as
well. I get really animated when I talk about the books and have
turned on alot of my friends to the series. Just told a co-worker
about them today and will pull out the books so she can read them.
On a good reading run, I'll start to read in my head in Scottish:)
enjoy them

I would love to be able to read, speak even understand Scots. there
are so many words in the books that I don't understand which I would
dearly love to. any advise?
Try the concordance. It's called the Outlandish Companion. It might help a
little.

I would HIGHLY suggest that anybody who has read this series more than
once, to, "experience", it in the unabridged audio format read by
Davina Porter.
This lady pronounces all the different characters with slightly
different Scot accents, and does them with aplomb.
You really have not enjoyed this series to the fullest until you
listen to them.

that would be very interesting to try out
Highly recommend this trip for any of you inclined. Not affiliated in
any way with tour director of Celtic Journeys, but she was wonderful
and made every step through the stones an enjoyable one.
