Idea shower. I'm just picturing this poor person standing there, with
ideas showering down on him or her. :-)

{Chuckle} That is really something.
The crazy part is, there's a section on a state employment test I've
taken a few times that makes sure you can translate that sort of nonsense
into regular English. At least I hope it's nonsense, and you don't have to
do too much translation in the course of a job. {Smile}

It's amazing how many people can't remember the word they really want.

{BIG SMILE} I hope none of the ideas are sharp enough to be painful. {BIG

Or leave a bad stain!

Ugh. Yes, that wouldn't do at all! {Smile, wink}

And is that not a terrifying thought, that that person could have such a
lasting impact on business :(

Yes - at last - You. I Choose you. Out of all the world,
out of all the seeking, I have found you, young sister of
my heart! You are mine and I am yours - and never again
will there be loneliness ...

No, they sound like office speech that was in use 30 years ago.
Probably, but they're far older than Bush. {Lopsided Smile}

I believe you. I doubt they started then, but I easily believe they were
fashionable 30 years ago, too. {Smile}

Indeed--we called them "Haigisms" then (after Alexander Haig).
Worst one I ever heard at work is when my department head announced the
demise of one lady, and noted that she would be "funeralized" on
Saturday...<ouch>

Oh, ye gods. Funerals are *definitely* one event where it is best to
stick to the classic, conservative, most respectful language.
(Also, one would think, resumes should use conservative language.
Instead, they seem to be smothered in the worst florid prose.
"Forward my career"? How does one forward a career? Put it in an
envelope and mail it?)
I think I might have heard that term once or twice, if only in the
historical context of what they used to be called. {smile}
