I've read every factual book that he has written. Some so many times I
think I could recite them. Are there any modern authors that can
explain the universe as we know it today as well as Isaac asimov?

Professor Hawkin has not got anywhere near the wide breadth of books
across the variety of subjects that Isaac Asimov wrote about and, dare
I say it, I don't honestly think Hawkin actually writes as well about
his subject in pure layman terms.
