War of Honor Cover Art

Nobody will sell me the book yet, but a Waldenbooks manager did allow me to
look at the cover to confirm a suspicion I had.

On Honor's beret badge depicted on the cover, Dave Mattingly used my
original artwork from the Honorverse web site
(http://honorverse.virtualave.net/honorverse/manticore.htm). This image has
been on my web site for almost three years, as many of you know, and I still
have the original Visio file of the manticore, which I drew on 1/18/00.

On the one hand, I'm pleased as punch to see my original artwork as part of
the cover of an Honor Harrington book. On the other hand, some credit would
have been nice, too, rather than simply using my copyrighted image without
attribution or permission. I mean, I like seeing it there, but it would
have been nice to get a little credit for drawing it.
