I just finished rereading Lewis' retelling of the Psyche/Eros myth and
I'm more convinced than ever that it's some of his very best work. It
is an especially powerful look at the nature of love and codependence,
reminding me that God's will for another person is none of my business
and best left unexamined lest I muck things up by trying to help speed
things along to better meet *my* needs.
It's absolutely brilliant and, like so much of his work, amply rewards
multiple readings. If you haven't gotten around to it yet, please do.
You'll be a better person for it (IMHO).
