Hello,

Here is what God's word tells us about what He thinks of the nations.
Da 2:44,

"In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom
that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people.
It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will
itself endure forever." (NIV)

Thus when God's kingdom (government) comes in full force, it will not
just 'request' that all the world's governments give all authority to
it, rather God will:

"crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end".

Obviously the world's governments will try to keep their sovereignty
right up to the end. Thus, although real Christians must have respect
for the country they reside in, they give their full support and hope
in God's Kingdom to bring them salvation. As Jesus model prayer shows:

Mt 6:10,

"your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven."
(NIV)

Sincerely, James
