Position Requirements:
5+ years of experience in managing / supporting the data needs of a Commercial Organization using channel partners, direct (ex-factory) and syndicated data.
Working experience relating to Pharmaceutical Sales Systems & Data specifically: Pharmaceutical Sales Data [script (IMS XPT), Outlet (IMS DDD), CRM-SFA, Master Data Management, Business Intelligence, Aggregate Spend (State Reporting), Speaker Bureau/Management. Supervisory or management experience preferred.
This position interfaces with Sales & Marketing and external service providers to manage and deliver data solutions to NA Commercial Operations in partnership with Corporate IT. This individual executes the process of commercial data projects from solution definition to data access and ensures a successful outcome measured by business benefit, time, and cost as evidenced through downstream reporting. This individual understands the long-term vision of NA Commercial Operations and defines the data roadmaps to meet these strategic needs, either through direct data agreements or syndicated data. He/she demonstrates a high level of initiative, collaboration and influence across the organization to lead and own the responsibility for creating and sustaining the multi-year commercial data strategy abetting both the US Sales and the Product Strategic Plans. In addition, this position will be responsible for the data quality and stewardship.
Daily management of our data quality services which includes:
� Managing current and new interfaces / feeds from channel partners and internal data sources through data quality services into our Commercial Data Warehouse)
� Experience implementing and managing large scale projects
� Managing information requirements and data solutions of the commercial business from channel partners
� Experience in managing budgets and resources for department or business unit
� Work with the Commercial Analytics team to determine reporting needs and data source requirements
� Act as Data Steward to resolve exception reports (grey list) for all feeds
� Conduct routine audits to prove data reporting and feed load accuracy
� Manage / identify syndicated data and / or additional channel partner data and integrate into the Commercial data Warehouse
Work with subject matter experts to discover, define, assess, and document business needs and requirements. Juggle multiple internal stakeholders and competing priorities.
Collaborate closely with IT in order to achieve project goals. Design technical solutions with IT that meet business needs.
Monitor data processing for efficiency and effectiveness data solutions as evidenced in downstream reporting.
Manage data strategies across the commercial organizations transactional and master data domains.
Work with peers to develop and maintain business strategy, policies, standards and guidelines pertaining to NA commercial data.
Responsible for planning and driving data remediation, cleansing, and conversion activities across the commercial organization.
Effectively diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex problems pertaining to commercial data.
Lead Master Data and Data Governance data clean-up and validation efforts to ensure commercial data integrity.
Maintains an in-depth understanding of companys business functions and combines that knowledge with the ability to easily facilitate change. Must be able to serve as a key resource to coordinate and resolve issues. Will be able to identify sources of business information that is needed to support and implement a data warehouse.
Provide direct recommendation and leadership with identifying and defining Master Data attributes.
Communicate and educate others on the use of sound data management principles.
Understand how the Data Management and Governance programs are aligned to the business goals across the commercial organization.
Aligning the commercial data management strategy with industry trends and legal/regulatory requirements..
Expected to implement/improve the current data management strategy and enterprise data architecture by applying a combination of industry best practices, learned solutions, and innovation.
