Description
The Data Administration Manager (DAM), acts as the primary contact for development and maintenance of system data bases and data warehouses.  The DAM will participate in the design and implementation of data conversions. The DAM is responsible for implementing the enterprise data architecture and data strategy, including the data standards and processes used through all stages of the information life cycle from the beginning all the way through data archiving and purging. Primary source for development and maintenance of system data bases, data warehouses, and data base software tools and business intelligence tools.

Duties / Responsibilities:
• Communication of project status to enable accurate completion of assignments and constructive interaction with others
• Provide timely and accurate reports concerning the performance of IT personnel
• Scheduling, technical direction, planning and standard development practices
• Budgeting and Capital improvement activities
• Knowledge and utilization of project planning principles: managing the activities related to planning, managing and implementing projects
• Disseminate service request and incident report duties to appropriate staff for resolution
• Supervises development of metadata repositories or data dictionaries to help understand meaning of data
• Supervises the building of relational databases, data warehouses, star schemas, and multi-dimensional databases
• Supervises the cleaning and maintenance of the database by removing and deleting old data
• Supervises the configuration of data profiling and data quality tools
• Participates in the development of the technological strategy


Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Computer Sciences, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent
• One or more database certifications and designations
• At least 8 years of experience in data modeling, database design, database development, data architecture development, and system implementation in an organization with at least 1500 users
• At least 6-8 years of experience in data warehouse design and development including star schemas and multi-dimensional databases
• Minimum of 5 years business application development with ETL technologies. In-depth knowledge of data warehouse standards and best practices
• Minimum of 5 years business application development experience in SQL utilizing Transact SQL, DTS packages and stored procedures
• Experience with DB2 on Z/OS and CRM applications highly desirable
• Working knowledge of leading and designing data modeling tools and concepts required
• Knowledge of web application development is also a plus
• Extensive understanding of the organizations, goals, strategies and how technology can realize the goals
• In-depth knowledge of data base technology tools
• Excellent analytical ability
• Good project management skills and in-depth experience with project management software applications, such as Microsoft Project, to track and monitor development and implementation plans successfully
