Job Accountabilities
Develop, deliver and administer training programs that support the manufacturing goals and initiative of the Food Packaging Division, its customers and suppliers. This includes, but is not limited to the Division Lean/6sigma strategy across all functions of the global manufacturing sites (new product development, manufacturing, supply chain, etc) as well as all participating corporate functions; technical training of key manufacturing process and new equipment installations; personnel development skills of managers, supervisors and line technicians; developing and facilitating teams and team management concepts.
Act as a technical subject matter expert on lean/6sigma tools and their applications but also be an expert in organizational development as it pertains to implementing a strong, long-lasting, lean/6sigma continuous improvement culture. Mentor and develop a lean/6sigma Driver community, and middle/front-line leadership on lean/6sigma culture and tools.
Represent the Food Packaging Division as the subject matter expert in providing technical and Lean Six Sigma training and support for customers, suppliers and across all CROWN Divisions. Acts as the Coordinator and Lead Instructor of CROWNTMs Lean Six Sigma Management Development Workshop. Lead Lean Six Sigma kaizen events for CROWN, the Food Packaging Division, its customers and suppliers.
Specific Duties:
Manage the lean/6sigma program for The Food Packaging Division Develop and continuously improve the Division lean/6sigma enterprise implementation strategies in order to move CrownTMs lean/6sigma program rapidly closer to world-class. Conduct external benchmarking and learning to continually adjust the Food DivisionTMs lean/6sigma strategy As CROWNTMs Lean/6 sigma Expert, drive the execution of these strategies across all areas of the company and maintain an expertise on global lean/6sigma trends, and develop training, facilitation and implementation process standards for global use. Mentor/coach/develop Lean/6sigma Champions in lean/6sigma philosophies and tools Support Crown Manufacturing Facilities and Offices in the implementation and management of Lean/6sigma philosophies and tools Represent the Food Packaging Division to provide training and support in the implementation of Lean/6Sigma philosophies and tools for Customers, Suppliers and across our CROWN Divisions. Build and support a collaborative team environment across all divisions/Corp. groups Support the Food Packaging Division Quality Department and its initiatives. Assume the role of project champion, facilitator or consultant for key Division initiatives. Develop and administer evaluation tools that monitor progress of Divisional quality, technical training and Lean/6sigma kaizen and improvement activities. Update and create new training Promote and produce cross-company communication of current training programs and process improvement activities; populate the Food Packaging Division web-site with Lean Six Sigma, technical and team training programs and procedures; provide the same directly for facilities implementing said training or process improvements. Create relevant metrics for the Division and local programs. Track and report these metrics, drive to improve upon them. Keep documentation current and useful. Maintain the certification program and other recognition efforts to enhance employee engagement in their workplace. Share best practices Conduct regular (monthly at least) divisional lean/6sigma reviews with teams Create and manage annual technical training calendar Conduct lean audits (6s).sJob Requirements
Skills, Training, Experience Required:s BS Manufacturing Operations Management or BSME with experience in manufacturing or quality systems required.
Previous experience managing a Lean/6sigma program
10+ years in a manufacturing environment, 7 years implementing lean/6sigma, preferably in numerous environments (mfg, office, or multiple mfg sites/companies).
Must be able to work with many different levels within and outside the organization. Project Management Skills
