Description:   Senior Developer  .NET, C#, SQL Server                                           We have an immediate need for a Developer with C#, .NET 3.x, ASP.NET and SQL Server experience with WCF, WF and SOA.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a variety of different development scenarios   front end, database and middle tier.  The right candidate needs to have strong database design skills as well as strong SQL skills to complement their .NET development skills.                                               The ideal candidate will have very good communication skills, be able to interface with the business on a consistent basis and be able to translate business requirements into robust scalable solutions that are user friendly.  The candidate must have full lifecycle development experience as well as excellent skills in designing and architecting robust solutions.                                             Job Responsibilities                                            Design and Develop  solutions that are scalable, reliable and flexible utilizing the latest Microsoft based technologies.                                       Develop new applications utilizing .NET technologies   C#, ASP.NET, WF, .NET Framework 3.x, WCF and SQL Server among others                                     Develop programming specifications, logic flow charts, and process diagrams                                     Design databases utilizing appropriate relational design techniques and levels of normalization for optimal flexibility, performance and scalability                                    Conduct frequent peer and code reviews.                                         Train, direct, and lead a multi-skilled staff comprised of full time, contractor, and offshore developers and systems analysts.                                         Provide detailed instructions as necessary in most aspects of technology managed, with an emphasis on .NET development and best practice and web service based integration.                                     Manage aggressive release schedules for multiple applications, including, but not limited to: AMS Rackley, Underwriter Workstation, AdminServer, Claims Workstation, Underwriter Central.                                       Collaborate with business personnel and segment IT to define requirements for projects                                          Validate requirements, analysis and design with users                                                   Skill Requirements                                              Programming                                                                                             7+ years of development experience with a .NET environment                                                                      Technical skills must include .NET 3.0 or later, C#, ASP.NET, WF, T-SQL, SQL Server 2005+ and utilization of Web Services                                                                       Ideally, the candidate will be familiar with the latest .NET features   Code Contracts, Dynamic Language Runtime, Covariance/Contracvariance, Tuples and Managed Extensibility Framework (MEF)                                                                          5+ years of experience developing in SQL Server with a strong knowledge of T-SQL                                                                        Any experience with WCF, SOA and SharePoint is highly valued                                                                    Any related certifications are a strong bonus                                                                           Analysis & Design                                                                                           A solid understanding and appreciation for Object Oriented Programming and Design Patterns                                                                      Strong knowledge and experience utilizing UML for analysis and design                                                                   5+ years experience with Relational Database Design and a solid understanding of Normalization                                                                                  Soft Skills                                                                                             Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities and follow through on tasks                                                                        Ability to provide mentoring and support to other team members                                                                          Willingness to receive input and work in a team environment                                                                     Willingness to work in a very fast paced environment with very tight deadlines
