Description: The Judge Group is currently looking for a VB.Net / SQL Developer for a contract to hire position in Warren, NJ.
General Summary This role is highly technical and design oriented in nature and is best suited for an individual who can play a hands-on programming role in the development and management of custom technology solutions utilizing various databases, internet and other development tools.
Major Duties and Responsibilities AaADevelops, implements, deploys and maintains moderately complex web applications which are both internal and client facing. AaAIs responsible for system implementation lifecycle stages, including some analysis, design, testing, and implementation. AaAAssists in preparing specifications and user requirements. AaAMaintains company intranet and customer websites. AaABe able to manage enterprise off-the-shelf systems as well as customized development. AaAPerforms other duties and assignments as directed.
Minimum Job Requirements AaABachelorAaas Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering preferred. AaAFive (5) years or more of hands-on programming and technology experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required AaAAdvanced knowledge of and experience in database systems, SQL server, Visual Studio.NET, particularly VB.NET. AaAStrong ability in problem solving, maintaining a Development environment and the ability to deliver on a deadline. AaAThe ability to deliver in a fast paced environment and to handle multiple, shifting priority projects. AaAExcellent verbal/written communication skills. AaAAbility to work independently and in a team environment. AaAStrong Web design skills. AaAKnowledge and good methodology of full project life cycle development and support. AaAHands on experience and proficiency using the following technologies: AaAIntermediate knowledge of Stored procedures AaAKnowledge of IIS administration AaAWeb services AaAAdvanced HTML AaAAdvanced Java Script AaAAdvanced VB.net
