Minimum Qualifications: A. Required Education/Training and/or Experience: · Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or other life science. · Five years of experience including progressive leadership roles within a quality assurance related function in the food / dietary supplement / pharmaceutical industry. At least half of this experience should be within a manufacturing environment. · Auditing experience (internal and/or external) · B. Required Skills/Abilities: · Working knowledge of Plant Quality Systems including HACCP, Sanitation Practices, Microbiology and Food Safety, Statistical Process Control, Good Laboratory Practices, and applicable government regulations. Ability to effectively assess programs containing these elements at suppliers, contract manufacturers, and service providers. · Keen deductive reasoning and problem solving skills · Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Must be able to influence and build consensus of others within the division or within other functions. · Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently · Effective verbal/written communication skills, including the ability to write technical reports. · Ability to skillfully balance business and compliance risk C. Desired or Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities: · Experience working with contract manufacturers preferred · Knowledge of Design Excellence principles desired · Food industry experience preferred Description: Key duties/responsibilities: 1. Responsible for execution of Internal audits 2. Plan audit, execute and prepare audit reports. 3. Maintain files generated from each audit. 4. Work with the departments audited to resolve compliance issues, provide recommendation, communication on status of action resolution and bringing to management issues that require attention tracking corrective actions. 5. May be responsible for execution of some Supplier audits. a. Plan audit, execute and prepare audit reports. b. Maintain files generated from each audit. c. Work with Quality Engineers to resolve compliance issues, provide recommendation, communication on status of action resolution and bringing to management issues that require attention tracking corrective actions. 6. Creation of Quality SOPS to support Quality System
