Responsibilities
Maintains effective employee relations practices. Provides employee relations counsel to managers and employees on HR matters including performance, discipline, organizational decisions and career development. Provides interpretation and guidance on human resources policies and employment law. Manages and participates in the staffing function, ensuring the quality of personnel hired, the effectiveness of recruiting and selection techniques, and compliance with legislated requirements, such as EEO and ADA. Ensures proper talent pool is in place for all levels of the organization and assimilates new employees into the organization. Develops and implements human resource strategies and programs associated with accomplishing business objectives. Assists site management in defining and transitioning the culture towards improved customer focus, sense of urgency, and ambitious innovation. Provides on-site compensation and benefit consultation and administration including annual merit and incentive cycles, performance appraisals, and benefits inquiries. Ensures fair and competitive positioning of salaries through internal equity and external market analysis. Leads people development and learning processes to improve organizational competencies. Works with supervisors and managers to develop the necessary training processes and programs to increase productivity and effectiveness of employees. Facilitates, conducts, or solicits training programs. Implements and facilitates internal programs such as Individual Development Plan (IDP).
