Description: IT Associate Project Manager
General Summary: Oversees a small project, phases of a larger project and assists the project PM with administrative tasks such as budget analysis, project and milestone planning and reporting. Works with management to coordinate activities of the project team, identifying resources needed, & developing schedules to ensure timely completion of project. Must be familiar with systems scope and projects objectives, as well as the role & function of each team member, in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. Communicates with Manager regarding status of the project frequently. May also act as an individual contributor on the project. Level Expectations: AaA Possesses a working knowledge of the tools and processes required by the role AaA Solid performance with minimal supervision, coaching and feedback AaA Works largely through self-directed effort or partnering with others
Essential Functions: AaA Meets with business management to determine solutions to business problems. Defines project scope and objectives. Develops preliminary project plan and design, determines necessary resources, and project timeline. Responsible to manage change and project impacts. AaA Assigns individual responsibilities and acts as a management resource for project team members. AaA Responsible for delivery and success of assigned projects. Optimizes results within business and time constraints. Leads meetings with project team to assess status and resolve issues as they come up. AaA Reviews and tracks status of project and deliverables and provides project updates and ongoing cost analysis to IT and Business Alignment Team(s). Conducts presentations regarding project status and current issues. AaA Provide assistance to IT team members with issues needing technical expertise or complex systems knowledge. Mentor team to improve their understanding and skill and ensure they are familiar with resource materials available. Ensures adherence to project management process and project documentation standards. AaA Develops project cost estimates and manages budget throughout projects. AaA Works on special projects as assigned.
Qualifications: AaA BachelorAaas degree in Information Systems or related field AaA 1-3 years of previous project management experience AaA 8-10 years of experience in information systems operations environment in systems analysis or development AaA Formal training in project management practices preferred AaA Certification in project management preferred AaA Knowledge of PBM, healthcare industry helpful AaA Advanced knowledge of project development, including process mapping, budgeting and timeline creation AaA Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward project completion AaA Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills AaA Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must AaA General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office expert level knowledge of Excel, working knowledge of Access AaA Working knowledge of SharePoint required
