Description: The Client NA Basel Program Office is a small team that oversees all of the work done across Client US Holding Company & Client Financial Group, supporting compliance with the Basel II Framework under the Canadian & US Rules. Key Program Office accountabilities include: • Oversight of the activities of all Basel Programs/Work streams, projects & sub projects in the US & Canada • Quality assurance for all program deliverables, including standard PMLC documents, data cleansing, regulatory reporting & all phases of testing • Implementation of appropriate oversight & governance activities, programs & policies specific to US Basel II Program• Reporting to Senior Executives of Client NA & Client Financial Group • Reporting to the Risk Committee s of the Boards of Client NA, Client USA & Client US Holding Company • Responsible for direct liaison w/Basel II Regulatory teams of OCC & FED in US & OSFI in Canada
Responsibilities: • Participates in establishment of robust & flexible process for internal status reporting, external status reporting & regulatory reporting against the qualification requirements established in two jurisdictions US & Canada • Provides day to day support to project teams in all aspects of status reporting, schedule development & dependency management • Establishes minimum standards for project deliverables & documentation • Ensures that recognized project management disciplines & controls are consistently applied to projects w/in broader program • Acts as consultant to all US Basel Program staff in all aspects of requirements definition, project planning & status reporting • Effectively manages the consolidation of project & program issues to ensure that Steering Committee, Program Office, Project Managers, Sponsors & Business Owners are aware of any significant issues, risks, or changes in regulatory requirements • Identifies issues & risks both w/in & across projects & works w/sponsors & project teams to manage/mitigate them • Participates in any discussions regarding changes in scope, new requirements, or changes in approach Education: • Undergraduate degree or equivalent relevant experience • 7 years of relevant experience • PMP Certified
Skills & Experience: • Large scale/Program level Project management experience • Excellent verbal & written communication skills, including the ability to Client communication to senior management levels • Ability to develop & implement program level standards & expectations • Demonstrated ability to develop strong, collaborative, business & technology relationships • Advanced knowledge of project planning, program management & project management best practices appropriate for initiatives w/ high levels of complexity & extended timelines • Advanced knowledge of business workflows, systems, project management tools & vendor practices & capabilities
