Description: Major precision optics company currently experiencing tremendous growth seeks a Manger for our Polishing and Finishing department.
Shall oversee the manual and mechanical shaping, grinding, lapping, blocking, and polishing of hard crystals, germanium, cleartran, zinc selenide, zinc sulfide, calcium fluoride, and sapphire substrates to sub-angstrom super polishing level tolerances.
Must have extensive metrology experience including, but not limited to the use of:
*** Zygo Interferometers
*** Profilometers
*** Microscopes
*** Manual and electronic gauging
Additionally, experience with the installation, operation, and troubleshooting of double sided polishers, grinders, continuous polishers, CNC polishers, and CNC generators required.
