Job Summary
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial analysis and report generation activities in a manner designed to meet internal and external reporting requirements, and provide timely, accurate, meaningful reporting of operations to executive management.
Requirements
Education:
* Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance or related field of study, MBA and/or CPA a plus.
Experience:
* 0-3 years of a demonstrated history of progressive responsibility in accounting, business analysis or finance roles.
Skills:
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Demonstrated experience in interacting with all levels of management
* Ability to work well and communicate effectively in a fast paced team environment
* Commitment to accuracy, organization and quality of work while possessing a sense of urgency when meeting goals or deadlines set by management
* Proven ability to prioritize workload and perform multiple tasks
* Independent, self motivated individual with a strong work ethic
* Creative, disciplined and resourceful when completing assigned tasks
* Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Power point and Excel; experience with Great Plains and Hyperion a plus
Responsibilities
Assist in the consolidation of the quarterly forecasts and annual plan; collaborate in the preparation of the related analytical package to facilitate senior management review.
Prepare monthly financial reports comparing actual Business Unit performance to budget, forecast and prior year; identify operating and exchange rate variances; prepare trend based analysis.
Prepare and distribute the monthly transfer pricing package necessary to support the global management fee charges.
Responsible for the preparation and distribution of the monthly store count report ensuring accuracy of data.
Assist with the preparation of the quarterly earnings release, earnings call script, and background documentation to support the earnings call.
Assist with the preparation of Board of Directors and Investor relations presentations.
Support various corporate department managers with the completion of their annual planning and quarterly forecasting templates.
Monitor and compile data regarding industry peers, competitors and trends.
Interact with necessary departments to update key statistics contained within the Company’s web site, Corporate fact sheet, and investor relations support documentation.
Conduct ad-hoc analysis and other duties as assigned, which may include: financial, statistical, and analytical assessments; financial modeling (income statement, balance sheet and cash flow); revenue/cost forecasting; risk/return analysis; balance sheet and cash flow analysis.
