Job Summary

Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Security Operations, the primary function of an IT security Administrator is to perform security event management resolution, and prevent security events through vulnerability management.

Requirements

Education:

*       Five years of experience with Cisco Networking Security.

*       Preferred experience with Cisco Security devices such as Cisco's Iron Port Proxies.  

One or more of the following security certifications:

*       CISSP

*       GIAC

*       ISACA

*       CCSP

*       ISSAP

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

*       Strong working knowledge of Cisco Networking Security including: ASA/PIX/IOS/Catalyst, IronPort.

*       Syslog management and analysis background.

*       Vulnerability audits with resolution management.

*       Security Event and Incident Management

*       Thorough knowledge of security for Windows operating systems

*       Working knowledge of some scripting language.

*       Enterprise Security Architecture Design and/or Implementation.

*       IT Security Project Management is beneficial.

Responsibilities

*       Enterprise Security of Network Design and Implementation

*       Security Incident and Event Management - Monitoring and responding as needed validating logs.

*       Administering Security devices such as proxy devices.

*       Assisting at times with network device change management implementations.

*       Identify opportunities and recommend security solutions for improving services efficiency and effectiveness.

*       Strong analytical skills for investigating incident responses for various operating systems, mainly windows server OS.

*       SOX and PCI auditing and compliance management of functions will be needed

*       Monitoring and reporting on compliance for vulnerability management of an enterprise environment.

*       Strong written and controlled documentation of processes will be necessary.

*       Some project management at times will be needed.

*       New security compliance management and duties will be necessary as technology advances

*       Create and maintain technical and end-user instructions, policies and procedures as needed.

*       Be on call as needed

*       Other duties as assigned
