Description: Seeking at least 2 years experience performing the manual and robotic shaping, grinding, lapping, and polishing of optical substrates such as hard crystals, sapphire, or germanium down to the angstrom level and in depth knowledge of the set up, operation, and maintenance of centering machines, spindle machines, dicing saws, laps or zygo polishing equipment.
Additional experience with interferometers, profilometers, autocollimators, and test plates highly desirable.
