Cicso Network Engineer-

Assists other Network Engineers in providing client consultation, research, and
recommendations for technical network technical design and engineering
solutions. Provides technical expertise to support network systems including
analyzing capacity requirements, evaluating network technologies, management of
vendor relationships, and diagnosing and resolving data network related
problems.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assists other Network Engineers and clients with projects to determine system
requirements. Translates requirements into hardware/software and circuit
capacity recommendations.
- Works closely with clients, other systems technical staff, and vendors to plan
projects for small, well-defined network configurations. Assists with the
preparation of instructions and documentation for themselves and other
installation personnel.
- Works with other Network Engineers to provide direction, guidance, and
technical support to clients, systems and operations areas through teaching and
publication of network policies, guidelines, and specifications.
- Researches and evaluates technical alternatives.
- Provides network performance management, which includes capacity planning,
network modeling, traffic analysis, forecasting, and provisioning.
- Works with engineers on other teams to troubleshoot overall IT solution.
- Performs other duties as required.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
- Previous (3-5 years) experience in network installation, operations, and
troubleshooting.
- Previous experience in one or more of the following technical networking
disciplines; data communications, transport, video technology, or voice
communications.
- Functional knowledge and experience in one of the following technical
disciplines: MPLS, Frame Relay, MLPP, ATM, IP, TCP, Ethernet, routing,
switching, fiber optics, Internet/Intranet, virtual office,
cabling/infrastructure, standards, remote access, security/firewalls and
carriers, Wi-Fi, contact center, messaging and CTI.
- Excellent consultative and communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical ability and judgment.
- Ability to work effectively with clients and other technical staff.
