Description Represents insureds and the Company in the defense of low and moderate exposure bodily injury and property damage law suits. Asseses liability and damages and develops defenses to allegations, attends hearings and conducts trials, argues motions, takes depositions of lay and expert witnesses, consults with clients and opposing counsel and the judiciary, coordinates the case handling with MCO personnel, completes necessary system margin-bottom:0px"Experience, Knowledge, Formal Training: Broad knowledge of business areas processes including best practices. Analytical/Technical Skills: Application of clearly defined analytical procedures and concepts used to integrate and analyze data and make general assumptions and recommend action plans. Ability to leverage technical skills in the achievement of team objectives. Communication Skills: Moderate communications skills required to draft reports, memos, and business letters and give instructions to others. Job complexity: Concentrates on a variety of complex processes that require solutions that are imaginative, thorough and practicable. Decision Making: Recommends actions for defined processes or programs. Assists in the attainment of team objectives, which includes appropriate processes in developing and/or delivering products and services. Contacts: Contacts include management and the public in less structured situations. Explains and discusses complex information in order to convince and secure understanding. Scope and Impact: Achievement of results has a limited influence on the attainment of unit and departmental goals Management Guidance Received: Assigned specific objectives and/or projects, often with some managerial direction. Individual is highly capable of independent work and management guidance is normally not required. One to three years Trial Attorney experience; Insurance Defense experience preferred. JD required & member in good standing of Pennsylvania bar.
