Sourcing Manager New York Vice President Key Responsibilities * To guide and assist IT Managers to develop their respective sourcing objectives and plan, i.e. to help them to decide "what, where, when and how" - matched to Lehmans existing footprint and outsourcing capabilities * Work with IT Managers and Lehman India to help them develop effective knowledge transfer plans for both new and existing work and functions. * Work with IT Managers and Lehman India to help them optimize the transition of projects / applications / functions to near-shore /offshore/outsource operations * Help develop processes and guidelines for Transition including knowledge transfer * Liaise with Vendor Management team, Lehman India and IT Managers to ensure key metrics are monitored and kept up to date. Skills Required * Demonstrated ability to work with senior IT management to establish and achieve goals and objectives associated with an outsourcing/offshore plan * Strong knowledge of global sourcing for IT * Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills - ability to influence * Good analytical skills * To be able to work across multi-disciples, regions and cultures Experience and Knowledge (Essential) * 4+ year experience in technology project management / consultancy * At least 2 years experience of offshore / outsource PMO (Project Management Office) * At least 3 years involvement in financial services * Knowledge of application development and support methodologies Experience and Knowledge (Desirable) * Knowledge of Securities/Capital Markets business processes, applications and platform. * Experience of dealing with outsourcing vendors. Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree
